The first has all the PO boxes, the second has the customer service and both sections have boxes and ares for your to prepare your mail. The customer service area also offers decorative envelopes and boxes for sale. Quick tip: Bring a pen, this isn't TD Bank and there aren't ample amounts of pens to use, so if you didn't prepare your mail before arriving bring a writing utensle. read more

I traveled to the Maple Shade Post Office after hearing the lines were usually shorter and the employers were nicer. This was not at all the experience I had. I came in post christmas, so the post office was packed, yet there was only one employee working while the line was growing out the door. There were other employees who would pop in and offer to show people how to use the self service machine to buy stamps, but did not help any additional customers. The employee who rang me up was rather rude and I thought it was extremely odd he announced my total loud enough for the entire store to hear. Also, this location had run out of certified mail tickets. Not sure how it's possible for a post office to run out of those, but they offered no suitable alternatives in trying to help other customers out who needed them. Was trying to ship a package to Canada. I brought the box package with address to the post office for them to give me an exact price before I charged for shipping for this sale. I got a price plus an international form to fill out for shipping to Canada. I brought the package back the next day after charging for shipping to the person who is buying the package. They gave me a $22 higher price. When I asked why it was $22 more than the price they gave me yesterday the miserable person behind the counter said "I don't know" And gave zero fucks. When I asked how I could go about getting the correct price for a package in the future the answer was for me to measure and weigh it at home. I guess even the person working at this post office does not have confidence in the employees to give out the correct information. Really cool Maple Shade!! Instead of trying to get more people to work or dealing with things in a way that would make everyone happy people in line were told to go home and come back later because only one person was on the register and they were doing a passport which would take them another half an hour. It was the most unprofessional experience I've ever had in a government facility. read more

I used to use this post office extensively when i sold online. Now i am in and out as least often as needed. This post office is great except around Christmas and tax time, which is to be expected. They have new friendly faces for counter staff and the lines move pretty quickly when two people are staffed on the counters. Plenty of priority and express mailing envelopes and boxes for free. Labels, tape, decorated boxes for purchase inside. There is also a machine in the lobby where you can enter the info yourself, pay and print postage on your own, and drop it into the drop box any time of day even in the middle of the night or just to save yourself from waiting in line. The lobby also contains all the PO boxes and this area is open 24/7. Con: if you aren't familiar with postage pricing they will not suggest a cheaper option to you. For instance i paid $12.97 to ship a dress back and had i used a regional rate or flat rate box it would have been much less. Definitely suggest going online to the usps website and seeing what options and costs are available before going into the post office. read more

It is what it is. I've gone to this postal office for a little over a decade and it's been what I've expected. There's a few glitches that have been unsavory however there has been more promising service that outweighs the bad. I get a lot of deliveries and the workers have gone above and beyond to accommodate the excess. I'm always able to get someone on the phone and when I go inside it's always customer little town friendly. read more

Let me start by saying. I never have anything bad to say about employees of a business. This is not the case here. I've quite literally never been treated as poorly as I was here. It started with me having to wait in line(the only person in line) for about 10 minutes while the employee caught up with his friend. Slightly annoying, but obviously not the end of the world. The employee was abrasive from the second I stepped up to the counter and very clearly was not interested in helping me. He also referred to my facial jewelry as boogers while making a nasty face and made me hide them for my passport photo. Mind you, facial jewelry is allowed in official id pictures. In general, I was talked down to for the entire experience. I hope that maybe he was just having a bad day, but regardless, I should not have been treated as such. MAPLE SHADE POST OFFICE I live in Maple Terrace Apartments & today was the 3rd time in 8 months that a package with a tracking # says it was delivered & once again, not delivered. The 1st time, it was still in the mailman's truck & got delivered the next day, the 2nd time, the package was held because they said it required a signature, so I went to the post office & asked for the package & they stated it was out on the truck & there was no way of them getting in touch with the driver, that was just pure laziness on their part. I know the package didn't need a signature & when I called the sender, they even stated it didn't require a signature but when he delivered that day, he was so rude & wouldn't answer my question as why I had to sign for it & made me sign for it. Now this time, I got a confirmation email stating that it was delivered, I didn't receive it, so I asked all the neighbors & the complex across the street because this is what you have to do when this mailman doesn't deliver your package, it's probably in the back of his truck, which is the norm for him, so I had to call USPS & put a complaint in & they put a request into Maple Shade Post Office to call me with his name because now I am filing a complaint with the Post Master General, maybe this will make him do his job the way it's supposed to be done. read more

Was hoping to make an appointment to apply for a passport but the USPS scheduling website was down. I called the post office and reached a very nice gentleman who said they could not schedule with me over the phone - appointments are only done online. So unless the website is fixed, there is no way to make an appointment here. Ever. Not helpful. read more

The services offered by this post service is terrible. If your normal carrier is on you have the best chance of getting the correct mail. On several occasions my mail has gone to the wrong address (east vs west). On two occasions it involved packages. One package was delivered to the wrong address and was found two days later by my regular deliverer. The second occasion occurred when another relief carrier delivered to the wrong address and I found out by reviewing the tracking mechanism. When I questioned the relief carrier she was totally clueless. I called the post office only to find out that she went back to the wrong address to retrieve the package. The post office tracks the carriers and when I called they were able to see exactly where she was. Today July 6th no mail was delivered to at least 20 homes. I visually saw the carrier stop delivery in midstream so at least 20 homes did not get mail. When I called the post office I spoke to chuck who said all the carriers were back and that delivery is "light" during the summer. Doesn't seem possible that at least 20 homes in a row did not get mail. Perhaps chuck the postmaster should be out and see exactly what his subordinates are doing read more
