I already had a missing tooth. This would make two missing teeth. The plan was to push the overbite in, and the two missing teeth spaces would close. Five years later, Dr. Shirck never got the spaces in my mouth to close. Since I had finished paying for my braces several years prior, he was no longer motivated to finish the job. He even began to speak to me in elevated levels from his frustration. We switched between braces and invisaligns, and the teeth were moving slowly. One visit, he brought up my health issues in the dental office in front of patients and staff. He named my health issues and said they were the reason why my teeth were closing slowly. He embarrassed me in a room full of people. I had surgery to resolve my main health issue, but Dr. Schirck refused to continue the treatment. He ended up removing my braces and putting a retainer on the top and bottom row. The retainer on my top row broke after a few months. So now I have two missing teeth and a gap starting between my two front teeth. My teeth look worse than when I started, and I had paid thousands of dollars. As an adult patient, I'm disgusted by Dr. Shirck's shabby work. Now, I'm going to another dentist to have the job done right. Dr. Shirck never gave a discount or any help replacing the healthy tooth he requested to have removed for absolutely no reason. I have to pay out of pocket to get expensive impants or have the damage repaired by a new dentist. My insurance was used up on Dr. Shirck. I'm completely disappointed and feel as if I were embarrassed and taken advantage of because of my age and race.

Dr. Price and his assistant were very thorough in taking pictures, examining, and explaining where our teeth were out of alignment and gave us realistic expectations for how long it would take and what limitations we might each face. We are very excited to start making improvements to our smiles! What I'm also excited about is the thought that by getting my teeth in better alignment that the weak sensitive spot along my gum line will have less pressure and could feel better. And the thought that my Jaw which makes a horribly loud socially awkward cracking sound could reduce. Great place with the highest level professionalism. Dr. Price is the man.

Summary: after one visit, we are going elsewhere. Their staff was very rude to me and my son--and to others that I watched--and it all felt very rushed. It was like an assembly line--like we are just dollar signs to them. This was an initial visit for my preteen to get the green light for his orthodontic appointments to get set up. We had only been one time before in 2021 during COVID and were told that we should wait until he's older. When we walked in, the receptionist, Rachel, never made eye contact or said hello, she simply barked at my son to "go sign in like he was told at his previous visit." I said well, the last time we were here was during COVID and you had a table at the front door to check in. So, she points over and says "USE THAT KIOSK." Ironically, it said "please see receptionist." So we go back over and she is all put out that we have to speak to her and then they separate you and your kid and only take your kid back. First, it's weird that they aren't letting me as a parent back to be present, ask questions, etc. My kid wouldn't know if something wasn't standard, what to ask, etc etc. While I was waiting, I watched staff interact with other patients and it was so off-putting. A man and his son came in and clearly English was not their first language and they were so rude to them and like raising their voices at them. Another woman, Mindy, was speaking so quickly I could barely keep up, let alone someone who doesn't speak English well. So I finally get called over and Mindy tells me it's just going to be a bit longer and I asked to speak to the Dr. and she was clearly irritated but said yes. She snarked at the receptionist Rachel when she walked back and said "SHE WANTS TO SEE THE DOCTOR" and rolled her eyes. I go back and finally meet back up with my son and Mindy only--not the Dr. She was speaking so quickly I could barely take notes. I had to pry info out of her and then the Dr. finally comes in and is like super corny and then leaves after like 2 min. I got a copy of the financial breakdown and we were rushed out the door. Will not be using Dr. Berkowitz and will be seeking services elsewhere.
