When he brought the pieces, I did notice that some of them looked unfinished/damaged, but he said dont worry we'll fix that up after everything is done. I was skeptical but trusted him. After the install was done and my other contractors finished their part, his guy came back to do the final touch ups including fixing the permanent scratch marks on the frosted gloss. Despite his best efforts, the glass got worse and the wood defects looked the same. We had to eventually get the glass replaced but after they finally got it done and installed, we realized they glued it backwards so they had to redo it. Then noticed that there was a number that was drawn onto the frosted part that wouldnt come out. Jon even told my wife that day that he "spent money out of his own pocket to get this replaced." We paid almost $11,000 for this project, so no we paid for it out of our pocket. It was obvious that they couldn't fix the glass or the cabinets and it was extreme to redo everything because the backsplash and countertops were already installed. He settled on giving me a partial refund so I can try to get someone else to fix it, but only when his "cash flow was better"...which is an odd comment, but I was understanding. That was in October 2024. Here we are in April 2025 and he still hasnt sent anything. Ive sent him emails and texts every few weeks and if he does respond, he asks me to be patient. We were so excited about this bar as we've been saving up and planning for it ever since we moved into our house; he definitely ruined that by providing a subpar product with even worse customer service. This may have been a harder project than his usual for them, but his quality control should have been better and the cabinets should never have left his workshop the way they looked. He seemed like a nice guy, but I can't recommend using his company to anyone.

I then decided to hire them for the job. They came in at 7:30 A.M. in the morning to beat the summer heat. It requires piping and extension exhaust vent directly to outside top siding. My roof was old and needed to be replaced. I called my homeowners insurance to see if they would…read morepay for it due to hail damage, etc. They came out, looked at the roof, said there wasn't enough damage to pay for it and left. I had an initial estimate of $6k to have it replaced (small, one level, 1,100 sq ft home). The (other) roofer said I could likely get another year or two out of the old roof so I thought I'd have time to save up. In the meantime my insurance agent called and said my homeowners insurance wanted to know when I was going to have my roof replaced because they weren't going to renew my policy until it was done. Jon Townsend gave me an estimate that included one of those vent strips at the top (the other roofer didn't even mention that to me as an option) and it was $5,400. When I decided to go with Accent Jon asked me to meet him at the supply place so I could choose the color of the shingles and look at options for the price range he bid. 30 year shingle, added vent, I choose the color, he would paint pipes to match roof color, replayed new plumbing pipe flashing, etc. Done.
