This is a small family run business, the flowers and hanging baskets were amazing, the selection was vast and the prices were so fair, I paid 1/2 for a similar item I purchased from Lowe's the week before and it was so much nicer. $15.95 for a glorious hanging basket of the most beautiful deep purple flowers. This farm also grows a huge variety of produce and I am kicking myself for passing on the asparagus and rhubarb. In season they sell beautiful strawberries and tomatoes. I highly recommend Cassim's Farm for you gardening and produce needs.

The food vendors are also awesome - one of them makes the best sausage, egg, and cheese sandwiches. And this is coming from someone who's been to all the delis in NYC :) The market is open every Saturday during the summer from 9 to 1PM. It's an amazing place to hang out in, especially because it's full of amazing people. You will see a plethora of dogs, too, since a lot of dog owners like to walk their dogs in the morning!

There were roughly a dozen farmers stands, selling everything from fresh eggs, to baked goods, to granola, to various sorts of produce. At 9:30 the place was packed, and many of the vendors said that they expected to sell about around 10:30, so definitely get there early. The product was great, so check it out, and when you can, always buy local! The Vestal Farmer's market runs from June to October on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8:00am-2:00pm (or until the vendors sell out).

We did snag some super fresh Mennonite-grown asparagus. Too rainy to enjoy the outdoor part. This place is probably more like a 4 star on a better day.
