I've now been two or three times under the new ownership. Sadly, the previous staff is gone -- who can blame them given the rocky transition. I had one or two favourite therapists and I miss them. The staff size has also been reduced so there is way less availability during the day. The massage therapist I've been seeing is good, but overall I feel the facility is losing ground. The place used to be immaculate and really felt like a spa like experience. I was in there last week, and spa shoes were dirty (they aren't cleaning them between clients - something I've noticed during previous visits), the floor has traces of salt and snow on it whereas it used to always be pristine, the decor is not as sleek as before -- there's a white leather couch that looks kind of tacky and holiday decorations that look the same. I always loved that they sent you away with a cup of hot tea. The tea is still there. I wasn't offered one during my last visit, but the time before was offered one -- so overall it's an inconsistent practice and I feel too silly to ask when not offered. I probably won't be returning once I use up my massage series, unless these new folks up their game soon.

It's crazy how one injector can ruin the whole experience and almost your face. I forgot her name because I haven't been assigned her for filler before but I showed her a photo of a beautiful influencer I loved her face shape and it was slim feminine with a nice defined side jaw line. My face shape is not far from this influencers face shape just wanted it more defined and emphasized slim and feminine. This injector did it so poorly that it made my jawline more masculine and poorly distributed that it's lumpy! It's one thing to be a good injector and look out for the best interest of your clients to say realistically if it's obtainable through filler or make the right suggestion but she clearly didn't and proceeded to do something she probably hasn't done before and ruining a clients face. It's been 2 weeks and I was thinking it must just be the swelling that has it looking lumpy and chipmunky but it's definitely not I can feel how uneven the filler is and even my friends who saw me said they thought I just gained weight and my face isn't as slim as before and very uneven! I spend $1600 this was not the result I was expecting and it made my face worse than it was before. I'll be booking an appointment to get this dissolved asap and finding out the name of that injector to include in this review but she was an older lady with blond hair BEWARE!

He offered up a flimsy explanation, but I will never trust him again or go back to Derm.ca, Please do your homework before going to this clinic and seeing Dr Alanen.

I had some microdermabrasion and laser treatments here as well. The ladies that run the establishment are very uninformed. They don't educate you as a client on the procedure being done, what to expect, etc. Also, they try and sell you product for almost the entire duration of the treatment, which is especially annoying when you're trying to relax. They aren't professional at all. They don't provide you with an actual receipt unless you ask for one (they only give you a receipt from the credit card machine). I've cancelled an appointment in the past, rescheduled, only to have them call and tell me I have an appointment on the day I cancelled- very frustrating. The only reason I still go here occasionally is because of their discounted treatments and proximity to my work.

Before the treatment, I asked questions about the filler being used and I was reassured about it. I agreed to go ahead because I believed the information I was given. Not long after the injections, my face reacted very badly. The swelling was extreme and it didn't feel like a normal reaction. It was scary. I was stressed and genuinely worried about what had been injected into me. When I reached out for answers and support, I did not receive clear explanations. Now they are not replying to my messages at all. Being ignored after something like this makes the situation even worse. Cosmetic procedures require honesty and transparency. You are literally trusting someone with your face and your health. I walked in feeling confident and left feeling unsafe and completely let down. Please be careful and make sure you know exactly what is being injected into your body before agreeing to anything.

At the time of the appointment, my first impressions of the place is small, but quaint, well lit and welcoming. The staff provided me consultation and advised not to take the microdermabrasion due to my face skin concerns. She advised me to take a more efficient treatment when I told her my goal for my face skin. After the 1st session, she recommended me to try their product and I am glad I took the risk without researching into their product as it was working effectively & efficiently. On my 2nd session, she noticed my improvements prior to my first visit and proceeded to enhance my session and made me try on new concepts that could further enhance my face skin goal and it did it again, I was impressed. Overall, after a month's treatment & following her recommendation in improving face skin health I am satisfied. I notice the improvements & I will be coming back to maintain a health face skin.
