In Aug 2025 I called Maple Appliance because my washing machine would not drain and spin on most loads. The receptionist sent someone quite fast and he was pleasant. My washing machine had water and a load in and he went and started and it drained and spun after it had not in my earlier attempts. Repairman said it was working fine and charged me $99. The next day the machine started not draining and spinning again. I called another appliance repairman that a good friend recommended. He ran the machine through several cycles, pulled the back off the washer and advised me that the pump was not working at full power. He replaced the pump and charged me a reasonable fee. The machine has worked fine now over several days and has drained and emptied each wash load. I will not call Maple Applicance again as I feel the repairman did not investigate my washer complaint thoroughly and did not check the pump for proper functioning. read more

I had these guys come out today to fix my dryer what they did was walk in turn my dryer on for 30 seconds to tell me they didn't have parts and charged me 90 dollars for a three minute service call quoted me for parts said 2 weeks on those total quote 495. Did give us the part number looked them up to see they were 25 dollars. Super disappointed I was never told about a service charge when I called, and didn't pay one when they fixed my washer a month ago. read more

A tech showed up within 24 hours, analyzed the problem, showed me the broken gear, and ordered the required part for my trash compactor. I contacted Maple Appliance while in the process of finishing the restoration of my vintage refrigerator. There was some troubleshooting I thought a professional could help me solve. I was very specific when I spoke with them stating it was a antique refrigerator and a specialized unit. They assured me it was no problem at all. When the tech arrived he had no knowledge he would be dealing with an antique and really had no interest...or maybe no knowledge and experience in how to help. Either way he made sure to charge me $69.00 and told me to "just buy a new refrigerator" I suspect this company makes its money by scamming senior citizens and single mothers. Then it took them almost 2 months to finally refund our deposit since they were not able to get a part we needed, went to searspartsdirect.com and got the part within a week. I have used Maple before and liked them but I was not dealing with them personally, my tenants were. I truly hope that they have not been treating my tenants the same way that they treated me. I have a washer that will not drain and my dryer was drying but started making a awful noise ( I suspect it was from having too heavy of a load, because of the washer). So I called Maple. The tech by the name of Al was able to come on the same day I called! Well when he got there I could tell from his body language that he did not want to be there. After looking at the dryer for a few minutes he stated that it was going to be about $150 to repair. I ok it and that repair was fine. Well when it came to the washer he told me I was using the wrong cycle and that I should not ever use the permanent press cycle. He worked on the washer ,ran a small load and declared it good. As he was packing up to leave I unloaded the washer and the clothes were so wet I could wring them out by hand. All put his tool box down and went back to work. After about 10 minutes he tells me that the reason it's not draining is it has to much soap in it. (I use pods but Ok). He then proceeded to tell me to fix it myself by running the load with 2 cups of vegetable oil. I told him I would provide the oil and pay him to do it. I really need this washer to work. All did the vegetable oil trick and called it good. I checked the last load and it was a bit better but still not spun out as it should have been. All left and the next load was just as bad as when we stated and I called maple back. All came back a few day later. In the meantime I have been doing very light loads and running the drain cycle 2/3 times a load. Al arrived before I was and was working on the washer. He told me there was nothing wrong with the load that was in the washer and It was me not knowing how to load the washer. He was rude and would not let me explain to him that the load he called good actually drained 3 times and it was a super light load . At that point I told him we need to do a load like regular and see it at the end with no interference so he can see . Well we did a load of towels and he interfered with the load several times .He berated me for putting them in wrong when I wasn't nearly finished. I'm 52 years old and have been doing laundry since I was 12 so I'm pretty sure I know how to load a washer. Al then told me there was nothing he could do and left. I did contact his office and they are very nice and said they will look into a reimbursement for the charges but I'm not confident that they will and will update this review if they do. I hope this company has not been treating my tenants like this. I think I'll be switching. $319.00 is way too much money to only have my dryer fixed! read more

These guys are great! My Viking cooktop needed repair. Maple Appliance made two trips: one to diagnose and order a part and the second after the part came in. The part didn't do the trick. We needed a very costly replacement mother board. We decided against the new mother board. Maple Appliance charged us for the first trip only, despite all the time they spent on the second trip. They only charged the original service charge.They worked very hard and yet understood when we didn't want to order the expensive part for our older cooktop. read more

If I could rate this company negative stars I would. This morning a tech came out to assess my dryer which wasn't heating. I am a young woman who lives alone and was verbally harassed by this tech. Long story short, the tech started my dryer for 10 seconds and concluded I need $222 service. I called the homeowner (my father), who said we did not want to continue with the service. The tech was visibly upset with this, although I explained and apologized and thanked him. He proceeded to write up a $69 bill and rudely requested payment. I explained I'm not the owner and I'd call to get that. I then asked exactly what we were paying for as he truly only started the dryer for 10 seconds, he didn't take any parts off or apart, he couldn't show me a faulty part, and I was just curious what the charge was. This grown man proceeded to YELL in my face while shaking parts at me that he's "worked in this business 30 years and doesn't need to take it apart to know". He called his manager and said I was refusing payment, which I specifically said I was NOT, I was simply inquiring on the charge and waiting to hear back from the home owner with credit card information. My father called back and I expressed that I was uncomfortable with this man, he was yelling at me for payment, and needed a credit card number. My father said okay, and I told him that the tech would call him from his own line (I was not comfortable to hand over my personal phone or step any closer to the tech). I told to tech he could reach my father from his own line OUTSIDE of my house, as he made me very uncomfortable and was behaving out of line. He proceeded to throw the receipt at me and slam through my door. I contacted his company as he sped out of my driveway. I was met with many apologies, but I am not satisfied with that. A GROWN MAN came INTO my house and verbally assaulted me, I was not sure he would leave when I asked him to. I told the company I would be checking in on what actions were taken in regards to this tech. You cannot have employees who visit homes react in such explosive ways and make the people living in the home so uncomfortable. This company is lucky the cops didn't show up before this tech sped off from my driveway. I called them on Thursday evening when my wife decided our stove door looked better on the floor, than where it belonged, attached to the stove. After attempting to install the door myself, and failing miserably, we called maple appliance. I received a call this morning letting me know a technician could come out after 12 today. Excellent!! Received a call when he was in route. Arrived on time, took all of ten minutes to fix what I was grossly incapable of, charged us an incredibly fair rate, and was gone. Al was personable and professional, did not try to sell us anything, and was enjoyable to talk to. Couldn't ask for more. The office staff was pleasant and professional. I called Maple Appliance last Thursday. They said they would come out Friday if they could fit me in or Monday. The guy showed up today to "fix" my washer. I knew what was wrong with it. He double checked it, then told me he did not have the part but still charged me for a service call. I can understand if he could fix it but I decided against it but he did not. He suggested I go get the part and install it myself. Wt heck. He said I would get it faster if I drove to the place, an hour away. I used them before when it was under warranty , that's who was recommended but to tell me to get the part myself? We need an option of 0 stars, because they deserved NONE. read more

Dryer stopped working, called just before 5pm on a Friday and had a repair tech out to the house around 9am the following morning (Saturday). The tech was polite and efficient, correctly diagnosed the fault within a few minutes and was able to replace the failed part immediately from his truck. I called this company out a few weeks ago to look at my glass top stove that had been sparking. The tech was here for maybe 10 mins and put little effort into even inspecting my appliance. He then told me nothing was wrong. I decided to call another company after due to that fact that this is a really dangerous problem to have. I called Maple and they came out the same day, which is the reason I gave them one star. That was the only positive. I had a freezer that was running warm (15 degrees instead of 0 -we tested it). The tech came out and said our ice cream was hard, so the freezer was fine and he did not need to measure it with a thermometer because he could tell from the ice cream. He left and charged me $89 for the call, which you have to agree to when you call them if you want them to show up. When I called to complain, the office told me they would take my name and number and then they never called me back. We then Googled LG Freezers running warm, replaced one of the computer boards in the back and it works perfectly now. Too bad the tech doesn't know how to use Google. :D read more

I was having trouble with my GE Profile refrigerator the refrigerator was getting an ice build up inside the refrigerator. The repairmen came out on 11/13/18 and installed a PAVT for $347.10. I had to call them back on 11/21/18 and was charged and additional $40.00 for another part. On 05/20/19 called them back out for the same problem the way I saw it ice build up again and was told no I needed RR Mail Control gave them $200.00 and then on 05/24/19 the job was completed for additional $164.50. I started having the same problems on 07/01/19 was told that I needed gas flow valve. After about a week gone by they called me and told me the part would be $637.00 and it had to be order. Of course I argued with them about the cost considering I had already spent $751.60 and now I had to spend an additional $637.00 for a part to fix the same problem I had from the very beginning. I told them to go ahead and order the part. The part was supposedly order but every time I called I am told the part is on back order. A few weeks ago the person on the line got hatefully with me and told me I had called 10 times already which I had not and they could not get anything done from answering my calls. I had my husband call last week and he was told the part was suppose to come in last week and not for sure why it did not. I have come to the conclusion that Maple Appliance is not a reputable company and no one should do business with them. I still have a refrigerator that has not work properly for months and Maple Appliance has no intentions of repairing my refrigerator. GRW read more

KEEP AWAY! Complete disaster. They came out same day to "fix" my refrigerator, but didnt fix anything, but rather broke my water supply line, but still collected the $69 for the visit. They said they will return in a few days with a new filter, but didnt show up for 2.5 weeks with the new parts. Technician showed up with a 15 fifteen window alert, despite me asking them for at least a courtesy of an hour heads-up. After 30 minutes of putting in the new parts, technician hands me a $220 bill, saying he doesnt know whats wrong with the refrigerator, but I owe him the $220 for the new parts and labor! I am not sure what kind of fool he thought I was to pay for something without being fixed. I when I asked him, what I was paying him for, he was very rude and said "dont go there". When I picked up the phone to call the office, he retorted "yeah, go ahead, call whoever you want...". The person at the office was not better, he promised to get back to me in couple of days, and that was about 1.5 weeks ago, and no sign of them! read more

Hello - I will update this post with a picture of the part and my receipt right after this is written, but I just had to login and get this off my chest - To start, I usually dont write reviews on Yelp, and when I do, its usually for food, but after my interaction with Maple Appliance Co, I had to do my civic duty and just let the public know what happened to me - So again, this is short story and I will update soon: I dropped off my Moms microwave off here, because the part that opens the microwave door was broken and needed replacing - They ordered the part and in a matter of minutes installed it. In fact, it took longer to unscrew the microwave casing, then actually replacing the part - so why only 1 star??? Well the part cost $15 and the "labor" cost $63 - I couldn't believe my eyes, and even worse, I couldn't believe my ears when the man behind the counter tried explaining a $63 labor charge for literally unscrewing the casing around the microwave (phillips screws) and popping in a plastic part. Definitely make sure to read the reviews that arent factored in this places score and get second opinons on your appliance repair needs read more

I would not recommend this service to anyone. I have Bosch microwave oven and fridge. They diagnosed both wrong . Their technician entered the housing bashing Bosch appliances and saying how horrible it is . He said the problem was the compressor and it was going to cost me $1500 and I am better to get a new fridge . My fridge was a bit over 2 years old ! I was without a fridge for almost 3 weeks until the part came and when the other tech came to replace it he said it was NOT the compressor but a leak in the coil . The story goes on and on . They were extremely rude after that . Same story for the oven , they ordered wrong part and finally after coming here three times they repaired it and it stopped working after few weeks again . They made me stay without a fridge over the summer for almost two months only surviving with a mini fridge with two kids in the house . they were extremely extremely rude and literally made me go into tears more than once . After having used maple appliance for a good many years, I've had nothing but negative experiences in the last couple of years. Although the pricing was actually gouging, I trusted them. They seemed to always send pleasant workers that got the job done right the first time. 2 years ago I had n issue with my freezer right before the 4th of July, with a lot of company coming from out of town. I called and they sent a workman that I was not familiar with. He was horribly rude and frankly I thought he had mental issues as he spent a lot of time mumbling under his breath. He completed the job, I paid the bill and he left. Shortly there after, my oven had a problem within the electronics on the panel. Again they sent out this very same individual that was very unpleasant. He made the diagnosis. I needed a new panel. He left, the panel was ordered. A week or so later they called to tell me the panel was in and the service guy could come out the next day. We agreed. He showed up on time, but it was the same rude, unpleasant person as the time before. I quickly got out of the way and he began working. He seems to have mental issues as he kept mumbling and swearing under his breath. Finally after 4 hrs. of this, he finished. My husband was home so he paid and the guy left. This past Nov. I had to get into a cabinet that was above the oven. I realized that the oven panel was set so high that it prevented me from opening the door. I had just never noticed as I only kept unimportant serving pieces up there. When I called, Maple Appliance agreed to send someone out to adjust it. Lo and behold, it was that same rude guy. This time I was home alone and not happy about it. I showed him the problem and reminded him that he was the one that installed it. He immediately started complaining that he had a heavy schedule and didn't have a lot of time to spend. When he saw what had to be done, he flipped out. I threatened to call his boss. He then began to swear at me and came at me with a screw driver that was in his hand. I grabbed the phone and screamed that I was calling the police. He turned around, grabbed his toolbox and stomped out slamming my front door. A police report was made. I called and spoke to the owner of the company and he defended this whacko. I demanded that he fire him immediately because he presented a threat to any woman home alone. He refused. The police have been investigating. Do NOT use maple appliance! The aggressive, rude, and surly worker's name is Al ..... The fact that the owners refused to do anything about him just boggles my mind! read more

When our dishwasher (7 years old) started to die, we called Maple Appliance. They were very accommodating to set an appointment and came out on time. The gentleman was very professional, did a very good job fixing the dishwasher (he had to return after ordering a part), and gave my wife some helpful advice about washing machines. He clearly knows his appliances because he correctly guessed which model washing machine we have by the sound alone. Terrible experience with these people today. They came out when a switch on our cooktop broke. Withing 1 minute the technician said he can't fix it because it was glued down to the counter. Charged us $69 for a 2 minute conversation. Then when he left I easily pulled a shield from the under side down and and pulled the broken switch out. Ordered a new one for $35. He said it would have been a $230 job if he could get to it. What a waste. We got scammed. Please do not use them. read more

Dishwasher broke, so we called for service. The repair guy they sent was surly and rude. My husband went to shake his hand, and the repairman looked at it and walked right past my husband. We asked him to move his car so I could leave and he literally stomped his feet about it. To make matters worse, he was in my house for about 20 minutes, said he would order the part, took an extra 2 days to order it, then the part didn't even solve our problem -- so we were out over a week's time (washing dishes by hand during Christmas) and their $40 trip charge. read more

They were able to get a technician out to my house by 9 am. I do live in a reasonable vicinity to their office. The technician, John, was very knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem in a short time. He gave me an immediate estimate, cost and time, which I okayed and he started working swiftly to correct the problem. He completed the job within the time frame he estimated and even honored the coupons I mentioned from their website. PSA for anyone looking for a service repair company: I called Maple Appliance for a potential repair on our dryer back in July. The tech came out to "repair" the machine, but - in fact - did nothing more than charge me $100 deposit for what he estimated was going to be $350 in repairs. He told me it will take an additional "week or so" to get the part in stock before they can even come and fix my machine. Mind you, all he did to make this determination was press a button on the outside of the dryer. He never looked inside the machine, at the back of it, underneath it, etc. He was in and out of my house in 15 minutes. That night, after 15 minutes of doing what the tech didn't do, my husband had our machine up and running and we have had no issues ever since. I called the very next day to explain the situation and was told by the store manager/owner that my deposit (of $100) was going to be refunded. 3.5 weeks and 6 calls to their business later I still do not have my refund. Every time I have called I have been told its been handled and taken care of and/or someone will call me back to review my case. Those phone calls never came and my $100 charge still sits on my credit card. As of this morning I was told, again by the same store manager/owner, that its a Monday and he was "too busy" to deal with my situation. As a mother I found that insulting, condescending, unprofessional, and ridiculous considering I called for this refund 3+ weeks ago. Despite this, I remained calm, albeit very annoyed. When I made him aware of my circumstances and my, likewise, very busy schedule, he very rudely agreed to refund my deposit once and for all, asked me never to call his place of business again, and hung up on me. Yes, you read that correctly, HE HUNG UP ON ME. So . . . if you have any desire to be spared the frustration and headache of dealing with such a business, I HIGHLY recommend calling someone else. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism and disrespect from a local small business owner and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone in need of appliance repairs :( read more

Had a Kitchen Aid refrigerator not working. Was told the cooling mechanism had to be replaced, compressor, evaporator, condensate heater, etc. was told would be a 2 man job and take 5-6 hours. One tech showed up and was done in 4 hours. The fridge works great now for which I'm thankful. However, for 4 hours labor I was charged $540. $540, yeah $540. The tech was great, did a fine job. However the managements idea of fair labor costs are pitiful. Good techs but a rip-off. Shop before using these guys. read more

Repir tech came out to look at our washing machine - unplugged both of he plugs behing the washer, one of which was our deep freeze. This was not discovered until 2 days later - all of he food had to be thrown out. The manager, John, told us that his technician said he had not unplugged ou deep freeze and that we were just looking for money. I find it difficult to believe that noth plugs, which have never fallen out of he wall in the 2 years we have been living there, spontaneously fell out of the wall in an area where their technician had been working.
