There is truck parking in the back. There are about 15 spots on the west side, which are all…read morereserved paid parking, and about 15 on the east side, which are free. Add in a few unmarked spots along the curb and maybe a couple next to the Cat Scales for 35-40. The free spots are usually full, with the exception of one or two, due to locals parking their trucks in them. This location is new. The inside is very clean and well organized. The restrooms are fairly clean compared to most. This is not a truckstop. There are no driver amenities. No showers, no laundry, and no driver's lounge. Only parking and diesel fuel. Happy to have the parking and food though! The food options are okay. They have several options of wings, fresh pizza, roller grill, and Krispy Kreme donuts. There's also cold sandwiches, wraps, fruit, and an ice cream bar. There's also a Waffle House, Arby's, and a McDonald's within walking distance. It is busy in the mornings but the staff was pleasant and keeping the line moving. The young lady at night had almost no customers and treated us like an inconvenience even though we spent $60 on food and misc. Shame on her.

I know this gas station extremely well! I worked here for years back when it was managed by…read moreThrasher Oil Company (who I assume owned it as well as managed it) and it was a one person run bullet-proof operation that sold gas and cigarettes from a tiny booth. It was a bonus that Huntsville Police would drive by and visit/check on us girls while we worked. Morning shift started at 6 AM and the store closed at 10 PM. We had to manually read and log the numbers from each gas pump, and it was nice to have the Police around during pump reading time right at closing. This Shell location was one of approximately 12 that we girls rotated working at, and they all had the same set up (bullet-proof glass, a slide out drawer for payment transactions, a safe in the floor, a back room full of cigarettes to keep the front cigarette area stocked, and a tiny restroom. Growing up around the corner on Holmes Avenue, I was happy this gas station "grew up" to be a full-service convenience store. It's located on the southwest side of the very busy intersection of University Drive and Jordan Lane.

She made this store feel like home and talking with her she made you feel like she knew you your whole life. Friendliness like hers doesn't happen often so when I run across someone like her, she stands out. I hope management appreciates her contributions to the company's overall success. Personalities, kindness and compassion are hard to come by and she deserves any success in life that comes her way. I appreciate her making the shopping task an enjoyable one.
