During the shampoo there was a little head massage which I thought was an awesome touch. Both times I was really happy with the result and excited to show off my new hair. It's worth mentioning that the vibe of this salon is one of the best I've experienced. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, you feel welcomed coming in, clients seem at ease and happy. Between that, the awesome student pricing option, and the fabulous cuts - 5 stars!

Very sorry to have to post this but clients who value their appearance should be informed…read more I have been to this salon for years and have a great colorist (Irina) and - up until last week - Sandra who was a great stylist at my previous visit. What wasn't expected was this time I'd be leaving with an Edward Scissorhands hack job. She has some skill but not consistent, apparently. I went back to get this resolved/adjusted but I strongly feel the onus was placed on me to make suggestions as to how to address the stylist's fail which resulted in a missing chunk of hair at my face and top layers 2 inches shorter than what we'd - mutually - decided on and a massive disconnect. The best practice would have been to consult the salon owners to give a second opinion when I came back, given she knew I was coming in with a problem. They do extensions at that salon and that could have been offered for what would have amounted to a small insert and not a free head of supermodel hair. Given I'm stuck with hours of additional work at my end amounting to more time out of my day and money on styling products the latter could have also been offered. My bangs were uneven and she couldn't even correct that minor imbalance without screwing up. The salon owner called to discuss which unfortunately was a complete defence of the stylist and lack of client respect. Apparently my getting a refund was supposed to be enough which hardly accommodates the months of dealing with a crappy service. Sure the salon comment will be something like "not a good fit" "miscommunication" as per my conversation with the owner or a suggestion I go elsewhere. I'm ahead of them on the last point.

I live in NY so I have a U.S. bank and wasn't able to pay the $20 deposit because I don't have e-Transfer, but I emailed the salon and they said it was no problem and not to worry about it. I was able to use my Visa credit card (they also take Mastercard) to pay. If you do pay the deposit, $20 is deducted from your total. The hair washing station is really relaxing, with lie-flat chairs so your neck doesn't hurt and sparkling lights on the ceiling. I'm so happy with my cut ($80 CAD before tip) and I think I got a great value for the level of service. I highly recommend Sam and this salon, his technique was so meticulous and I love my cut.

Our appointment was for 11 am but at 1030, Amanda text us that Bella was stuck on a GO Bus and wouldn't be able to start until 1130. Normally that's not a big issue, but I was dealing with really tight timelines because of nap times and attention spans, so I couldn't just burn 30 more minutes than expected. I explained this to Amanda, and she said if I could get there soon, she would cut my daughter's hair. The salon opens at 11, but Amanda started with us at 1045. The level of customer service was unreal. Friendly, accommodating, apologetic and I got what I came there for - a sophisticated haircut for my daughter that wasn't just a "who cares you're a kid" cut. The salon is beautiful inside, the sparkling lights about the hair washing station was a nice touch. At the very end, Bella did show up and she seemed nice as well, but Amanda really came through for us. We will be back!!

Booking an appointment was super fast and easy with their online booking system. I like how they have the prices listed there too so you have a good idea what to expect. My appointment was on a Saturday at noon and it was decently busy. I was a little hesitant to try this place because I find it difficult to find places that can cut the style I want on my asian hair. But I was greeted nicely and was attended to right away. The shampoo with head massage was soooo good and relaxing! I almost fell asleep. Definitely one of the best I've had at a hair salon. For the haircut, I had Vivian. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and said I wanted to chop off quite a bit so my ends could be healthy. She listened to what I wanted and recommended some ideas since what I said I wanted wasn't exactly like the picture I showed. You could tell Vivian paid a lot of attention to detail and made sure everything was even and how I liked it. Overall, I liked my hair cut and the price was fair. Staff were attentive and friendly. Lots of street parking was available and the place was easy to find. Glad I found a new place for a hair cut!

Wow, Liz and Sumi certainly worked their magic on my hair. My appointment started out with a thorough consultation to understand my hair type, my face type and how I style my hair on a daily basis. Then, we proceeded to a trim to the side of my head and at the back of my head. Sumi asked lots of great questions and walked through every step of the process to make sure I was aware of the procedures and communicated what was going on, which I really did appreciate. Then, we proceeded to the application of the solution which was pretty cool as it was 3-person teamwork project to apply solution while putting my hair into curls. It was actually a fun experience. The final reveal of my hair was amazing. I was in awe of how my dull and boring thick black horn could look naturally shaped with the curls. The style was clean and smart and the staff provided helpful tips to ensure that I can maintain my look for a long-term basis. I highly recommend this spot if this is your first or ongoing perm appointment. It was one of the most pleasant experiences, especially for this person who does not like sitting in a chair for long periods of time.
