junior high schools are usually the worst. I went here quite a long time ago, 7 years ago to be exact, back when they didn't have their new foot ball field and it was just a grassy field with mole holes where kids would seriously injure their ankles in.
I twisted my ankle and it was bad for two weeks.
I think a lot of teachers had mistreated kids at this school when I went there. There was a lot of favoritism or other things going on. The campus was disgusting, had an old dead tree sitting there for the longest time, gum was EVERYWHERE, the staff was extremely rude and aggressive.
The kids were demonic, extremely bad, misbehaved, a lot of guys would pester girls, and there was a ton of bullying going on. A lot of kids would outright make some teachers cry or go into a rage because of how disruptive and unfocussed they were. I felt bad for a lot of my teachers for having to put up with them.
A lot of buildings were old and falling apart, I'm glad they replaced the field with an official track now, but the two story building was fixed recently and I heard it actually was put together with bad craftsmanship or something so it was getting damaged and had to be fixed AGAIN? I'm not sure, but there's been a lot of construction issues over there for years.
My friends and I got bullied so much at this school, that I actually couldn't stand the final year. I went homeschooled for two years because this school and its students were so awful.
I got gum stuck in my hair and on my shoe, I had a brownie thrown at me and got caught in my hair, some kid through an apple at me. I got mustard squirted on my socks, I had an orange peel and a chip bag thrown in my open backpack like it was a garbage can, I was yelled at by students and teachers for cleaning up garbage myself because the janitor wasn't doing a good job, the janitor outright called me stupid and I reported him for it- luckily they dealt with him somehow but the next day he confronted me but I couldn't understand what the heck he was saying so he just left. Very awkward and immature.
I've had things stolen, my art books and comic books crumpled or torn up... you gotta guard yourself at this school. I came from a brand new Illinois junior high. If you swore, you were sent to the counselor. I couldn't believe the amount of swearing going on over here. I avoided swearing for an entire year until it got pounded into my head so constantly that I finally gave into it. Kids actually made it a game to try and get me to curse. I'd be approached and told how weird I was.
Also their food was not good at all. They have you stand in this long line and wouldn't give you quality school food. I tried to look into hot lunch they provided, but it took forever to get it, and they didn't always have a vegetarian option. No constant vegetarian options at a california school? You're kidding right?
There was so much more I'm sure I've repressed, and I wish I could give an updated review for this school in its recent years. I sincerely hope its not as bad as it was, but if it is, I consider taking your kid somewhere else. This school butchered me and my friends. It destroyed all the kids that attended this school during my time there.
I really sincerely hope its not as bad as it was, but... things don't always change easily at Californian schools. read more
