Compared to other Smith's locations elsewhere, this one does seem a little smaller. The store has everything you'd expect to find in a grocery. There's a bakery, deli and all the usual stuff. Customer service is friendly-especially if you are a local. I saw lots of conversations between staff and shoppers that looked to be between long-time friends or acquaintances. Not surprising in a small town. Being an outsider, I still felt welcome and taken care of.

They have all the departments of a standard grocery store. Deli, Produce, Bakery, etc. The produce department had fresh produce. Organics were scarce. They had a delicious slice of carrot cake available in the produce department for only $2.50 a slice. They also have soups in that section along with sandwiches. I deducted one star because I found checkout slow in self-checkout. The machine prompted for a Perks rewards card number that I could not locate on their website. It would be nice if that rewards number was readily available on Lin's website. I was instructed by a store employee, after pressing the help button on the screen, to simply enter the phone number associated with the Perks reward account I was shopping with. It worked just fine with the phone number. Music plays over the store through speakers like any other grocery store. Kind of sad music at times, but mostly popular music. It wasn't loud in the store. A Starbucks is at the front near the entrance on the right when you walk in.

The town of Salina is almost the exact same distance as Richfield from Fishlake and in Salina you find Barretts Foodtown grocery with a full service butcher shop. I walked in around 6 PM and they were just finished cleaning the machines. Oh well. A man in a white apron was standing in front of the case, turn smiled and asked if he could help me. I said I was looking for a thick cut ribeye steak. "Bone in or boneless" He asked. Then he proceeded to grab a beautiful ribeye roast and a ruler. " How thick"? Inch and a half. He hand cut and trimmed the steak beautifully. I then proceeded to buy some of his famous sasauge and a flat iron steak. All beautiful meat. Barretts has a great vegetable section, a bakery with handmade desserts plus everything you need in groceries. All served with smiles and a friendliness not found in a major chain grocer. My flat iron was so tender you would have thought it was fillet. The dessert was strawberry shortcake with fresh whipped cream, fresh strawberries and a custard filling between two fresh pieces of cake. Wonderful. Plenty of parking. Terrific service. Highly recommended.

"It's this kids first day on earth." is what she said about my partner while I was not there at the moment. I am considering not returning to Walmart after my poor experience.

We have never had to scan our own groceries at Ephraim Walmart. It's very clean and seems to have a better selection than the larger Richfield Walmart. I've had great service there and never a bad experience. I live half way between Richfield and Ephraim and hate going to the Richfield Walmart anymore. No greeter, no problem, I'd rather them pay an employee to scan my groceries than tell me welcome to Walmart. Friendly and helpful employees. I honestly don't understand the bad reviews at all.

This store didn't carry some of the products that we find at other Walmart's. The Walmart Supercenter is set up like most other supercenters. It was clean with a deli & grocery on one end and pharmacy/home goods on the other. I'm not a big fan of Walmart (lowering quality of things for a cheap price) but in this small town, you go different places to find different things.. The deli was very clean, hot food like chicken bites (tasty) real hot and deli meat & cheese with salads look clean and neat. The produce is good quality with some variety but they won't stock bean sprouts (?) or the usual veggies & fruit-although they do not stock the more unusual shishito peppers. The basic veggies looked good but the fruits didn't have a large stock. We probably would go to the Walmart again if I needed some product while in the area that I couldn't find at the other grocery.
