This place was freaking amazing from all accounts. You are greeted by a sign warning you that they…read moreare a slow food restaurant that is local and asks for patience...I love it because we weren't in a hurry and wanted to relax and enjoy our meal. Plus at the end it wasn't slow at all but pretty average paced if you ask me. My friend ordered the artisan fruit and cheese board to share and it was really good. We especially liked the contrast of the honey mustard and zing sauce.. I got Will's Mountain Club on grilled sourdough and its as on point...tons of flavor, just the right combination of meats and sauces and really crisp delicious bread. Service was outstanding, like really attentive and good, super friendly, very accommodating. Couldn't have been any better. One of the biggest things I loved about this place was their support of local artists. They had local fine art for sale everywhere around the restaurant. I was on a motorcycle otherwise I'd have taken several prints home but I had nowhere to put it. I did copy the artists names down and placed a couple orders when I got home. They also had things like sourdough chocolate chunk cookies for sale packaged inside. I bought one to eat later, never had a sourdough cookie before and it was great! They have a garden outside that's fun to walk through and I'm assuming they get some herbs from it for their meals. Good sized parking lot and easy to get in and out of and if you're on a bike you can park on the concrete by the building instead of the gravel. I will definitely return next time I'm in the area. Rode all the way up from Cumberland where we were staying and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Great service and great food. Cream of mushroom soup is homemade and is fantastic! Haven't tried…read morethe pizza yet but looks great!

I ordered the French dip which was amazing (beef sandwich with Au Jus dip). Trust me- get this! The surf and turf burger was alright- though we may be tough critics because we are from Maryland and love our lump crab cakes! The crab cake was a little extra fishy tasting but the burger and fries were good! Oreo cake was delicious and the Eggnog Martini was spectacular! We also tried the Hot Apple cider cocktail with spiced rum which was yum. Sadly women's bathroom soap dispenser was not working though. If you're there, check out the gift shop. I would come here again on our next roadtrip up north!

I had lobster ravioli and the oatmeal pie, which were delicious. They also have a little gift shop next to the tavern, which has some very nice gifts and decor for purchase. I purchased a couple Christmas ornaments. The gift shop building also has a big fireplace so it is very warm and cozy in there too!

We stayed at the Omni and our dinner here was a standout. I was initially bummed since I was hoping…read moreto book a reservation at the steakhouse. But this place turned out to be even better and perfectly suited for my family's needs. The photos of the restaurant don't do it justice. I was nervous it would be a stuffy, cavernous environment inside. Instead, I found it surprisingly open, with great energy and not too dark but not blindingly lit up. We got a table along the wall, where we could look out at the entire dining room as well as the open air kitchen. Our server Stephen was a real delight. He was friendly, took great photos of our family and so chatty with us. We enjoyed his energy and all his spot-on recommendations. He was also really friendly with our kids who were transfixed by his many stories of working there. My daughter usually doesn't stop talking but she actually didn't say a word as he talked about all the fun moments of working at the resort over the years. We enjoyed the bottle of wine, and were impressed that he noticed it didn't seem quite up to standards with a compromised cork. He quickly took it away and brought us a fresh bottle. The food was delicious and I went with his recommendation of the duck. My partner got the short ribs, which I was also considering. Both meals were great. The chef also sent us some amuse bouche prior to the meal along with some bread, which we quickly devoured. I would totally come back here. We had the tea service earlier in the day, which was okay. But it felt a little dead inside and the back room where it was served had a very quiet vibe. Dinner at this spot is definitely worth checking out.

The Crystal Dining Room within the Omni Bedford Resort in Bedford, PA is lovely. It is spacious…read moreeither a fairly large sized back room, presumably for overflow or private groups or meetings. Everyone whom we encountered was most gracious, friendly, and accommodating. I'd like to particularly recognize Michael, who'd served us twice, as well as Marsha. This is an upscale place to be sure, and prices are commensurate with the aforementioned environment. My wife and I had breakfast there thrice, and supper one. Everything was delicious. I cant comment on spiritous libations as I do not partake in them. In addition to prompt service and checking on us frequently, there were such personal touches as Michael asking if we wanted coffee to go following breakfast, and then inscribing " Thank you! Michael " on the Styrofoam cups. It is one of several restaurants within the resort, and was likely my favorite. I cant see how this is young kid friendly. I have enough trouble sitting still as an older adult, let alone a toddler or preschool youngster who have to poop with great urgency immediately upon eating. I wish there were more places like this near our home where we could go for special occasions. Check it out!
