A delicious meal to welcome us to Salerno!!…read more The gentleman who took our order was fantastic! It was very crowded, busy, and we got there about 45 minutes before closing, but he welcomed us and took such good care of us! I had the bream and my husband had cod with marinara. They were perfection!! The tables were small and crowded, which felt a little tight, but I wouldn't change a thing!
Main dish was delicious, the place is great, and the service was excellent. A perfect 10!read more

It was not a girl (the girl standing there was quite polite and felt bad about her superior's distasteful tone)... The elder lady specifically disrespected me and dismissed me with a clear and emphatic look of scorn before turning her back on me, assuming I'm American (a crime?). An embarrassment of a hospitality owner or employee. I've been all over this amazing country and have only had wonderful experiences... including tonight at the place we went to down the street after this debacle. I was speaking Italian, so certainly no communication problem, and this rude old lady came in and said, "Table for 5?! Hah! This is not McDonald's," and walked away. Wow. Shame on them. Plenty of other good options. First negative restaurant/interpersonal experience ever in this country after coming here a dozen times over the past 25 years.

They were connected to an Irish Pub next door. The hostess was very friendly, although waiter was not. Which made us wish we had ate somewhere else. When we sat down it was not very busy so this was not the reason for his lack of friendliness. The pizza was good, different with no sauce on it. The Gnocchi was good, although I wished I'd picked a different sauce. The seating was fine outside for people watching.

We ordered the Fish with prawns and potatoes as well as a Rib Eye Steak. They didn't ask how I wanted my steak like the usually do in the states so I was a bit worried, but it came out great! Steak was tender and had mounds of flavor, and the fish and prawns were fantastic. A great little known location in Salerno for dinner.
