I haven't been bowling in ages... and by ages, I mean since I arrived in Bolton in 2014. It isn't…read morereally an activity that I think of regularly, despite having taken bowling as a course in high school. Yes. You read that right. That's a story for another time. Anyway, when Mr. Snarky suggested we go bowling after dinner, instead of a movie... I was pretty excited. We remembered there was a bowling alley across from where I have my car serviced. From the outside, it kind of looks like a warehouse. For a Wednesday night, they were fairly busy! There is no smoking inside (hurrah!) and it actually looks newer than I anticipated. I don't know how long they have been there, but compared to a Hollywood Bowl that we went to, it looks in much better shape. The staff are very friendly and we found out that they have an offer on Wednesday nights for 3 games and a drink for £12 (per person). For drinks you can choose from soft drinks to a glass of red/white wine or a pint of Tetley's or Carlsburg. We had trouble finding the bowling balls the right weight and with the right sized finger holes (I don't think there is a way I can word this without someone giggling...), so that was a bit of an issue. The lanes look well-kept and the music was a nice mix of new and old music. They have a small arcade game area with air hockey and pool to the back corner. It also looked like they had had a birthday party in earlier, so clearly an all-purpose venue. It is kind of a hidden gem considering it is not grouped in with the leisure park. Will definitely be back for a rematch with Mr. Snarky!

Absolutely brilliant service and a great evening!…read more Went here for the first time in around a year with my partner and her daughter an evening out and couldn't be more impressed. I called around 6pm on a Sunday and spoke to Shaun who got us booked in for half past(very impressed with the speed, was expecting an hour or more wait) and the evening was enjoyed by all, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, could not fault the place at all. Thanks to Shaun and the team, will definitely be back soon!

Superbowl is always a good afternoon or evening out. This place has got less exciting since they…read moregot rid of the Laserquest a few years ago, but it's still fun. It's clean, the staff are nice and there are plenty of lanes - a few on the ground level and plenty more upstairs. Unfortunately, though there are lanes on the ground floor, there are a few steps leading down to them from bar seating area, making it difficult to access for people in wheelchairs - Doncaster or Castleford are better for disabled access. The superbowl's got a little bar and a cafe (a wimpy I think) as well as a few video games. It's not in central Wakefield but it's only about 15 minutes walk, there's a bus that goes right past, and it's got its own carpark.I'd recommend going on one of the party, where you get all night bowling with a DJ on and a free basket meal for about £12. Cheesy, but fun.

Prices are cheaper than the Hollywood Bowl chain and the facilities are good, with video screens, neon night bowling and decent music played in. The only downside is the food..it has a Wimpy..who has a Wimpy any more? Wimpy burgers are strange and soft and I'm scared of them. So eat before you go. Other than that, a great night out for all the family with free parking. Maybe not Superbowl but certainly Fun.
