Upon arrival, despite arriving on the agreed time, we were told to go and wait in a side room and await a member of staff. 30mins later with 14x bored 9yrs children and many trips to reception, I walked to the laser tag to ask the staff there who asked to wait in the corridor for another 15mins. Eventually we got started, the room had not been cleared from the last party, the member staff proceeded to tell the children he was ill and nearly passed out twice and after a short pre-brief, sent them in and then sat in the corner of the room leaving myself and wife to clear up. During the game, half the children came back with guns not working, but it was left to myself and my wife to find new guns and put the others back on charge. After the game we went down stairs to be told that despite already being 45mins late, there would be a further 30mins delay on the food. After much chasing this end up being 40mins, and by the time the food arrived, the parents had come to collect the children. To top it all off, they managed to miss 1 child completely on the food. We complained to the manager who explained that they were short staff but any complaints would need to go to HQ. After chasing for 2mths we had an offer another laser tag game for the children, which given the location and the logistics of sorting 14 children was not practical, and we instead asked for a partial or full refund. We are now in early January and despite chasing many times for a response, we have heard no more. Annoyingly you pay a premium for a party like this to take away stress as parents, but it was anything but. Although I accept they were short staffed, you have to prebook the parties so no how many people to expect so would expect better planning. Plus the appalling after care service would mean I would never use nay TEN PIN again, as clearly the customer is not the priority. Very disappointing.
