Very nice supermarket in heart of old town. Its pity we couldn't buy much since we are staying in hotel but I took some pictures of things. Also I love their Manor restaurant, we ate there few times and it was very cost effective. Clothing department wasn't anything special a lot of American brands that we have in USA, so we were not interested in clothes. But I highly recommend their to -go smoothies and food. And also MANOR restaurant is very good also open during 3-5 when all restaurants in town are closed. read more

Lugano was my only stop in Switzerland and it was very calm and the air was fresh. Manor has EVERYTHING!!! I came here for their cafeteria style dining and it was very busy because I came during the lunch rush. There is salad, pizza, meat, wine, breads, fresh juice and a lot more. Everything is individually priced so it does add up. I wanted to explore Manor and they had so much merchandise. They have things for home, toys, novelty items, clothes, sports equipment and a lot more. Seriously, everything you need is in here. Again, price is a little steep. read more

It's been three years since I lived in Lugano for a semester abroad, but MANOR is still etched in my mind as one of the best stores I've ever had the pleasure of frequenting. The place is massive and centered in the heart of town. It's pretty much the European version of a Target... with a basement full of fresh and delicious foods and a hearty grocery store. I also once bought a coat here. I still like that coat. You can also find a huge perfume section, a huge shoe section and a huge technology section. Prices are steeper than nearby Migros, but this place is a staple for anyone studying abroad in Lugano. Nostalgic now. read more

After living in Lugano for six months, this grocery quickly became known as the fancy grocery. Ya know, the Whole Foods of Switzerland- where you go to look but not buy. During our recent visit we made a few small purchases like milk and I found that Manor was just as pricey and pretty as I remembered. It's hard to miss this location if you're arriving into the heart of Lugano by walking down from the train station- it's also quite large with the grocery in the basement level and department store side of the business on the upper levels. It's also connected to the Mayor Ristorante which funny enough, is quite tasty and more affordable than a typical Lugano restaurant. In the grocery portion you'll find a decent sized wine section, beautiful cases of pastry, fish, cheese and fresh meats. The grab and go prepared eats section is bustling at lunch time. If you're looking for a more affordable option with similar offerings, you'll find Migros a few blocks away ;) read more

LIke the giant department stores in Paris and London, Manor is the place to find everything in Lugano. We went for wine and groceries, to put together our bread/cheese/sausages/fruit/wine dinner for that night. We were directed here by the local tourist office, with the comment that the cheese department has TWO staff behind the counter, not just one. That was a good recommendation, and it worked out fine. Lots of everything to pick from, including a huge bread selection, although the wine assortment wasn't huge. Completely satisfied. read more

Manora restaurant in this location had uniquely italian specialties and pasta freshly made to order. The environment is not very formal and the location is open for good hours and also on sunday. read more
