They have everything you may need - soap in the shower (bring towels), free water, free social events (cider and wine tastings, city tours, live music), a cafe with food and drinks, and several buildings with rooms. I really appreciated that my 4-bed, all-female room only had me and one other person in it throughout my 4-night stay. I appreciated they don't try to cram the rooms full. I really liked that the bathrooms are private. Each floor has 4 private bathrooms, each with a shower. Each bad has its own bed lamp, charging station, and personal fan. There aren't any bed curtains, though. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is great and only a 10-20 minute walk into the city. Street parking is available for less than $5 a day. Would choose to come back and stay here again!

We could only stay one night and Kevin waived the 2 night requirement. This was so generous. Also, we had an early morning flight back to San Diego but Kevin graciously fixed us a large bowl of berries with yogurt that we could get ourselves at a very early hour. We stayed in the garden room with it's own private bathroom that was large and had every amenity needed. I even forgot my toothbrush but Kevin to the rescue was able to provide. We were the only ones there so we got to see the other rooms. The Blue Heron room is much larger with a desk and they are about to remodel so that the bathroom will be private to that room as well. My favorite room was the innkeeper's suite with it's own kitchen and beautiful views. If back in Portland that would be the room I would choose even though it's on the 3rd floor. The location of Fulton House is excellent. I was leary of staying downtown due to recent reviews of car thefts, etc. No need to worry about that in this neighborhood that is also walking distance to a fantastic grocery store and Rovente Pizza that is now in my all time top 3 pizzas in the US! We are seasoned travelers who frequently stay in 4 and 5 star hotels. I wouldn't hesitate to book the Fulton House again. Next time I hope to enjoy the lavish breakfasts people write about.

Our excitement was met with disappointment in cleanliness of exterior of property and inability to…read moreenjoy until issues were resolved in a timely manner over a 2 day period of our 4 day stay. Day 1- Trash was not removed from exterior of guest house. Upstairs patio and chairs at guest house stained with bird dropping and smashed cherries, as were the downstairs outside couches. Called ITrip operations who sent the groundskeeper to resolve issue. He never did wash down the patio. Same night, we wanted to enjoy our dinner to experience the beautiful weather. We were unable to remove the layers of dirt on the patio dining table at Manor and had to eat dinner inside. Day 2- We noticed outside chairs at Manor were dirty and did not sit on it, as were the chairs around fire pit. Called ITrip operations again to tell first tell them Day 1 patio cleaning was not properly done, and that my HUSBAND washed and scrubbed it himself. Then proceeded to tell them about newly noticed issues. Operations sent someone in a timely manner. He was the plumber, Victor who scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed...did an AMAZING job!!! Also told him our a/c was warm and not working properly. He tried to resolve, and advised if not cooled by Day 3 to call management._ Day 3- After sleeping 2 nights in warm stuffy condition, had to call management again to notify....they could not promise someone could come out. After waiting a few hours it was evident a/c was not working and sent text message that conditions warranted an emergency service call. An a/c expert arrived shortly thereafter and confirmed major issue with a/c system in guest house. He managed to get it cool enough for us to enjoy sleeping. Day 4- Finally all issues resolved the day before we were to check out. _ Check out day- Post wedding celebration, we requested a late check out but no response. We quickly packed up so as to not get charged. House cleaners arrived as the last of us were about ready to leave. We told her everything except a/c issue in guest house. She confirmed it ALL should have been completed prior to our arrival, and that we could have had a late check out since no one was scheduled to arrive in a couple of days. Moreover and probably the most concerning was an undisclosed RV above the property was being occupied by groundskeepers who had codes to access the homes. Terrifying if all females stayed at the property. Exterior night lighting around grounds insufficient, making it dangerous. The amount of money we paid to stay was overpriced for the non-privacy and condition it was delivered in. Above all else, interior of both homes were very clean, the beds were comfortable, bathroom amenities excellent, expansive outside space and private lake was enjoyable. Response time and maintenance resolution by ITrips operations was impressive, however, I'm still waiting for the property manager to call me, it's been 7 days Might recommend to others with but with caveats.

Came here the weekend/week of Thanksgiving…read more First, I'll start with the hospitality, I can't recall the gentleman's name but he was a younger guy, maybe 20s or so and long hair. This guy was so kind, patient, thorough and helpful with many recommendations! This hotel was beautiful, it was such a deal, I couldn't believe how gorgeous the suites were! The area is pretty safe, never felt like I had any issues just don't do anything you wouldn't in any other city! Like walking around at 4 am or causing issues. I wish I had pics but unfortunately forgot! I will continue to book here anytime I come to Portland! If you use capital one travel, this is one of their premium hotels and we got $50 in Credit towards anything, $25 per night per person towards breakfast and a room upgrade all for free!

The Society Hotel is a hotel and hostel in the Old Town neighborhood in Portland. Stayed in the…read morehostel part of the hotel. It is a large mixed dormitory with beds stacked on top of each of other. Hence, you will need to climb stairs if you have a bed on top. For a hostel bed, it is nicer than your typical hostel. There is a place to lock up your things in your space as well as some lockers in the common area. You can also cover your bed for more privacy. Within the common area, there is a place for you to eat inside the room as well as there is a large table. Within the hostel, your experience may vary depending on who is staying in the hostel at the same time. For me, it was not a very comfortable setup due to the lack of privacy and noise. Also of note is that Old Town is a bit of a rough part of town with many homeless folks so it can be sketchy walking to and from the hostel. I think the hostel itself is fine if you are okay with the setup, but can't recommend staying in the area unless you have no other options.

Needless to say, we have a lot of wonderful memories tied to these getaways. The Inn is absolutely beautiful. It is thoughtfully appointed, cozy, and incredibly comfortable. There are so many lovely spaces throughout the property where you can sit, relax, and simply enjoy the surroundings with a glass of wine. It really is a special place to unwind and celebrate. The one area where I felt there was room for improvement was breakfast. Having stayed at many B&Bs over the years, I have come to really look forward to breakfast being a memorable part of the experience. For the two of us, breakfast consisted of two hard-boiled eggs, approximately 4 ounces of wonderfully creamy yogurt with granola, a small plate of fresh fruit, and two very hard, sugary pastries. Perhaps it is because of all the B&Bs we have visited over the years, but I have always loved the experience of freshly baked goods in the morning. Whether they are made completely from scratch or not, there is something about the smell and warmth of fresh baking that creates such a wonderful feeling and brings back happy memories. The pastries we were served just didn't provide that same experience. I also would have appreciated having four eggs and two servings of the yogurt for the two of us. And, as a small but meaningful touch, I missed having real cream available for coffee. That has always been a staple at the B&Bs we have enjoyed, and it is one of those little details that makes breakfast feel extra special. Overall, though, we truly enjoyed our stay and were so happy to have celebrated such an important milestone at such a beautiful and welcoming Inn. With a few small changes to the breakfast experience, I think it could be just as memorable as the rest of the property.

Just wonderful.. This particular property is centrally located to so many of the Willamette wineries. You will not have to go far at all. Beautiful robes in the room, Nespresso coffee( my favorite) Beautiful krafes of freshwater delivered daily . we did a day of hiking, a day of wine tasting. We did a day of shopping.. it's a great location anda gorgeous property

My 7-night stay was comfortable and relaxing (and it definitely felt good that I really got a great deal for a weeklong stay via hotels.com) - the ease of being able to park your vehicle at either lots (Inn or Suites), in addition to being offered a spot at an overflow lot around the corner at the Oregon Society of Arts, if you happen to see both lots full & you just have to let the front desk know the situation. They're very vocal about not wanting your cars parked on the street & getting ticketed. If you're looking for a convenient location, excellent service, and an immaculately clean & pristine room, then this is the place for you. Just note that if you book a single/double room - your room would be located at the annex building (The Inn) that was two stories high, with parking spaces in both the front and back, but no elevator. The main building (The Suites) is 6-stories that has an elevator and a stairwell, a relaxing back patio, and common lounge (with coffee/tea/lemon-infused water tower), in addition to having a laundry room in the basement. Just make sure to bring your own laundry detergent & dryer sheets! The reception desk will also be able to provide change, should you need that service. They provide complimentary bottled waters, coffee pods for their in-room Keurig machines, & instant oatmeal by Bob's Red Mill in the rooms - and should I say that the rooms are clean, spacious, and well-kept?! What else could go wrong? Lol! Having stayed here for the third time (once in a double room & twice in a one bedroom suite) definitely speaks volumes on how convenient and reasonably-priced this no-frills establishment is! Both the front desk staff & housekeeping staff were courteous, friendly, and personably polite - and I would like to commend Eric, Jon, and Stu for going above and beyond their call of duty - in providing excellent customer service to whoever they meet & greet. I highly recommend this place if you're looking to be centrally-located, with easy access to major freeways & backroads - to be able to visit the many points of interests & attractions that Portland has to offer, then don't hesitate to book your stay here! I don't know what kind of bug this is and I ask the front receptionist and she don't even know the name of this bug . She assured me it's a common bug . I hope it's not a bed bug that got showered off our body hence why it's in the shower tub . So I'm back and still in this same room across the lot . This bedroom location is separated from the main lobby across the street . Small expected room. Toilet has low flush power . Hard bed . Atleast on the plus side there is A/C and a parking space . I hope they keep to their word on the 3 day room service cleaning Bz it dont feel clean to begin with .

Lovely! Delightful!…read more Charming Rooms! Welcoming Hosts! Gorgeous Grounds! I could go on and on about this sweet B&B that is in Milwaukie (just Southeast of Portland). Totally has spoiled us for future B&Bs. Terry and Al are amazing! My mom and I were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves for 2 whole days! So, we had Terry and Al's undivided attention. We visited with them in the mornings which made the experience so much more personal and inviting. They have a sign on the door that says something like... Enter as Guest, Leave as Friends. So True! Now... this B&B isn't hard to find but you could easily drive right by it in the dark because the house itself sits up on a little hill with several acres of around it. It's nestled into what would seem its own little piece of heaven surrounded by big trees, lush lawns and beautiful landscape complete with a little bridge. (I think I have pictures... I'll dig them up and post them too.) The house has several entrances (exits), but go ahead and enter at any one of them. The main one is at the front of the house which you can drive to... just follow the little road to the right as you go up the hill. (We didn't.... I saw the parking lot up on the left and just parked.) But you can drive to the front, unload and then drive around to the parking area. Anyways... Terry greeted us and showed us around the house. The house is HUGE! So many rooms and they've done a great job decorating it! Antiques mixed in with comfy sofas and chairs. It's a 3 story house... the main floor has the kitchen, porch, parlor and dining room (as well as Terry and Al's living quarters).... the upper floor has the bedrooms... I think I counted 4.... the bottom floor has the Theater... Yes... a Theater with a gi-normous screen and lots of movies to pick from. They even have a popcorn maker down there. But if you want to do it the quick and easy way... they also have microwave popcorn. The Theater has lounger chairs and throw blankets to get all comfy in as you watch your movies. (Mom and I were bummed that we were so busy and so tired each night that we didn't get to have a movie night. Next time...) The guest room floor had a mini bar area that had a coffee maker and tea available all day long. As well as a mini fridge stocked with water and sodas. So nice to have this! Plus they had wine glasses and a wine opener in case you brought your own and wanted to enjoy a glass out on the porch. Oh... the Porch! This is where Mom and I would enjoy our morning cup of Joe. It was so peaceful and relaxing to slowly wake up, sit on the porch and listen to the birds while sipping coffee and reading our books. So Relaxing! (Note... the house sits up off the street so there isn't any street noise and it's surrounded by a wooded area so it feels like you're "getting back to nature".) And then there was Breakfast... Terry really outdoes herself. You have a starter like fruit or parfait and then you have the main course... possibly mini german pancakes or an egg dish. All of it was D-LISH! And the presentation! She really knows how to plate a lovely breakfast. She took breakfast to another level in my book. (BTW... I love breakfast, so I was taking mental notes on how I should present and prepare my own special breakfasts at home.) The Bed.... the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. Even more comfortable than my own at home. The sheets were so soft! I wanted to stay in bed all day. But alas... there were sights to see, family to visit... But I did take a picture of the tag on the sheets so I can try to find the same brand and type at home. I can go on and on... but I won't. If you want to know something specific or more, message me.
