Absolutely the best ice cream in NEPA. Hands down. The entire process from growing the crops to feed the dairy cows to the pasteurization process is all done at the Manning Farm. They use a slow pasteurization process which makes their cream much more creamy. I can't say enough about how amazing this ice cream tastes. I'm partial to the Carmel Praline but their chocolate is fantastic too. They also sell their own milk and ice cream cakes. If you are in the area you have to try their ice cream and best of all, they are open all year. Ice cream is for all seasons not just the summer. read more

Love the ice cream and milk but i just went in and was helped by a younger girl who was accompanied by another teenage girl. Now that wasn't the problem, the issue was that the one who helped me was eating while checking me out. Again, not necessarily a big deal but she was chewing really obnoxiously. See, everyone snacks at work. It's normal, but c'mon at least finish chewing before talking to a customer with a cheek full of food. Maybe a supervisor should be on shift if it's just two young teens. read more

Definitely one of my favorite places to visit when I am in town. Their ice cream is made with milk from their own farm. The fruits are fresh and you can taste the milk in the ice cream. Staff is also very friendly and a single scoop is bigger than the face of an 8 year old, lol read more

There icecream is outstanding. Any ice cream they have there is good. One thing I don't like is that they don't accept cards.

They had me at homemade ice cream. Walked in during covid, I was greeted and served immediately. The chalkboard menu board had my eyes criss crossed with so many flavor options...ahhhh...what to chose? Rainbow Sherbert? Cookies and cream? Vanilla? Heck with it, I'll take all three. The rainbow sherbert was one of the best I've had, smooth with the right sweetness and tang. The vanilla was rich and creamy. Best fresh ice cream in Scranton. They actually open ALL YEAR. As in DURING the winter! They have an insane number of creative flavors and taste combinations to choose from. They also sell fresh milk and ice cream cakes. The prices are super cheap but they only take cash! ATM inside. read more

Passing through Scranton and really craving a very rare for me hot fudge sundae. Lo and behold, Manning's. On a scale of 0 to 100 being the best, I can't imagine anything better. Real home made vanilla ice cream, not mass produced. Pure Hershey's hot chocolate, first put into the bottom of the bowl and after onto the ice cream. Literally 3 minutes or less off of Route 81. Manning's has been a family favorite for years and I've never been disappointed with the quality or price. You can tell it's fresh from the farm! I even take my niece there on occasion after swimming practice and she absolutely loves it. read more

Best ice cream stop ever! Needed a break from our drive and searched out ice cream. Manning Farm Dairy, Dunmore (exit 188 off I-81) was barely off the highway in a narrow strip plaza. Don't get misled by the Friendly's ice cream or you'll miss out on some amazing, homemade ice cream. I had a small (size of most places medium) and got a scoop of banana and a new flavor with whole malted milk balls in chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Delicious and plenty big. Car mate ordered a medium cup with jamocha chip and chocolate marshmallow ice cream. It was huge! Didn't get to see any large cup orders but saw lots of large cones which were most likely small or medium. Manning's also has a large array of other ice cream treats, and if you leave near one of their several locations, lucky you can bring home an ice cream cake or pie. Next time we hope to have time to visit their farm location with the cows! read more

They're ice cream very creamy and delicious. My favorite is Charlie Brownie; a rich chocolate ice cream with chunks of brownies in it. I also buy my milk there which is very good. I recommend their chocolate milk. read more

Good ice cream, but they only take cash. It's 2013, come on! And they don't even have an ATM in the store. I came in to buy an ice cream cake that was almost $30 and had to leave in a huff because I only had a 20 dollar bill and my debit card. I wasn't gonna run to the bank and then back Manning's so my dad got brownie a la mode from Price Chopper for his birthday cake. read more
