We didn't find this out until after we drove over 30 minutes to get there. Dr. Coleman is awesome but his office staff SUCKS. We will unfortunately be transferring all of our family's care to a new office because of their unprofessional behavior.

Turns out a filling had come loose and needed to be replaced, so I went back to get the filling replaced. The experience of contacting them, making an appointment, getting the insurance figured out and completing all the paperwork digitally was very smooth. The staff were all very polite and helpful. They seemed to go out of their way to accommodate my schedule when I was scheduling appointments as well. A couple of nights a week they stay open till 7 o'clock for those of us that need to come after work. I super appreciate this. Overall I felt like they offered high-quality care that was very professional. I would definitely recommend.

In fact, the single-most-awesome dentist I've been to since I got teeth (or thereabouts). The staff is always friendly and helpful, I never have to wait more than five minutes from my appointment time, and they do outstanding work. They're in the process of moving to a new location (9207 Us Highway 42, Prospect, KY 40059) that's not far from the old location. Yes, they're still i Prospect and Yes, I still live in J-Town. Anywhoo, this is such a great place, honestly. Like many people, I am not a fan of going to the doctor/dentist. However, I always feel relieved coming here because they treat me like family. Both Johnsons, the dentist techs, and receptionists seem to know their patients like the back of their hand. Even though I haven't been there in over two years, they still know where I work and go to school. I just find that very nice. The only thing that's unfortunate is that it is in the middle of a rough area of Shively. Technically, this is a children's dentist. Since it is also titled a "family dentist" they do allow older patients, but most of them will be kids. I do feel a little silly about that, but the great service I receive makes me want to stay. Dr. Johnson is my primary dentist (his daughter is the other Johnson,) and he is the sweetest man I have ever met in my life. He is very knowledgeable about teeth and always has a big smile on his face. I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone with children.
