The performers did a fantastic job blending humor and audience participation, making it an unforgettable night. Brian, the actors, along with the staff at the Sheraton in Bloomington worked so well together, you would have thought they were one! If your looking for a unique and lively event for a group I highly recommend!

We had had a terrible experience trying to deal with a different company originally and we ended up having to find another company and I am so so glad we found the Mystery Cafe. First off, Brian, who is the owner, was just fantastic all around, responsive, accommodating, kind, and organized. The night of the actual performance, I did not feel nervous at all, he and I had communicated multiple times and also already tested all of the electronics weeks prior to the event, it went off without a hitch. It was fun because it did require audience participation, but it was not too high pressure and they made the atmosphere just so light and exciting and it was FUNNY! There was so much humor and I found myself laughing a lot more than I had thought that I would. 10/10 would recommend. They came to our event, there were 3 actors and I must say, I think that the cost was very fair and reasonable. Great time!

Dinner and a show spot!…read more @alamotwincities in Woodbury is a perfect all in one outting. They have a restaurant/bar outside of the theaters but no need really because you can order food and drinks during the movie and never leave your seat! They have nicely spaced seats that recline, full menu, discrete lighting, notepads and pens to write your order down and a server will grab your order once it's propped up then your food will come out shortly. Tonight we saw a long 3 hour movie which was perfect to get dinner and then later dessert and a snack during the show. (Food pics were in the dark so I did my best) My our order tonight that I'd point you towards in order: Chicken Tenders with dry rub, added ranch and honey mustard for dips. These are awesome. My top pick here. Chocolate Chip Cookies. They come out warm and perfect. Milkshakes (didn't get one this time but goes well with warm cookies) Truffle & Parmesan popcorn. All of their popcorn options are free refills. Royal with cheese burger. This was a decent choice to get. Going to the movies theater always brings back nostalgia, joy and excitement. This adds another layer of enjoyment with having dinner or snacks served while you watch your movie. If you've never gone, highly suggest you do. It honestly just adds to the relaxation and experience. The tables between seats give you personal space, seats are super comfy, and the staff members were friendly. The whole process is seamless and efficient, and the call light is such a helpful addition. The popcorn is fire, and the mozzarella sticks were yummyyy! Can't wait until I can come back and kickback.

Hi! I took one…read moreof my daughters to the Historic Mounds Dinner Theater all night pajama party a couple of nights ago, and we had such a great time! The paranormal team there was very warm and friendly as well as accomodating (Thank you, Lisa, especially!) We experienced lots of scary moments, and the activities held our interest as well as our enthusiasm. We especially enjoyed the ghost hunt and investigation! I so appreciate the good time that the staff there showed my daughter. She said she still can't stop talking about it; said she's obsessed with it now, and tells everyone all about our night there! We're both looking so forward to doing it again and my daughter, Christy said, "And next time I won't be so scared! I'll be able to keep my eyes open through the whole thing!" (She's so adorable.) My husband and I had been to the theater back in October on a ghost tour and we, too, had so much fun there together! In addition to that, we attended the Twin Cities Gangs History movie there; we enjoyed it immensely! There's not only the paranormal part of the theater activities, but there is an incredible amount of history there to be enjoyed, and appreciated. We so hope to see the Historic Mounds Dinner Theater maintained and supported by the public for another hundred years! Thank you again, especially to you, Lisa! You're super! ~Jeanie F. and Christy F.

There is a security check and you are to turn your phone off and put it in a phone lockable holder. No pictures for the majority of the tour. I'm sorry but when there are multiple communications about time frames and then you try to blame me (the customer) for the issue, there is a huge problem. I spoke to a manager (I think Caitlin) to cancel my event 2 MONTHS in advance when I realized that the time frame would just not work for us and she was extremely rude, essentially placing the blame on me. Sorry, but you are the manager and for you to try to place blame on a customer and not even try to take any level of accountability etc. then there is an issue. The way she ended the phone call was rude and unprofessional. She legitimately stated to me in a rude SARCASTIC WAY "good luck finding another company for your event". Sounding as if I wouldn't be able to... oh man, she was wrong because not only did I find another company for this event but that company has already been 100% better. Another perfect example of why I would NOT recommend this company for your Murder Mystery event. Also, not to mention that they over charge for a service when there are many other options that are better, more affordable, better at communication and willing to make sure it works for OUR event.
