My friend and I booked an appointment online for the 11:30am mat class with Karyn and loved it! Apparently, this time slot is super new, so the class felt more like a semi private, really giving us the space and time to focus on form. Also, Karyn and Autumn (front desk) were so sweet and supportive! The studio is only a year or so old, so everything is modern and clean, and when booking you have an option of mat, reformer, or sound bath. I was able to borrow a mat and a mat towel for free since it was my first time (which I didn't realize was a thing but was much needed since I sweat so much during this class. The classroom was packed but not so much that you couldn't do the movements. The class started out slowly as we moved through a few positions lying down, then worked our way up to standing. There were definitely more advanced people in this class but I would say this is still a beginner friendly workout. The instructor offered modifications throughout and encouraged everyone to go at their own pace. I walked out of class feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on the day. I called to inquire about how much membership would be at this gym for only a month since I will be…read morein the area for only 30 days. 1) Gideon, the gentleman who answered the phone and that is in charge of memberships, had a very aggressive and hostile demeanor. 2) I was quoted at "roughly $135 a month, but I do not know for sure". Not only is it sad that he does not know for sure, since he did put me on hold for 5 minutes to find out the price which he is supposed to know, but it is also sad and unphathomable that someone would pay "roughly" $135 a month to workout at a gym for only a month, when so many others are more 60% cheaper for the same month-to-month contract with the same amenities. In all seriousness, I just think he got upset at me because I would not commit to a yearly membership on the phone without first setting foot inside the gym. He seemed like he was intentionally trying to get me NOT to sign up for whatever reason, so the price he gave probably was not the real price, but an extremely bloated amount. Regardless, the customer service at this place, solely due to Gideon, is atrocious!
