Tim Hortons is a Canadian chain specializing in both coffee and baked goods, founded by hockey player Tim Horton and businessman Ron Joyce in 1964. While I don't go for the coffee, every now when visiting Canada, I'll stop by a Tim Hortons for hot chocolate and a donut.
A few days ago when I was visiting Toronto, I met up with a cousin at the Tim Hortons at the Promenade in Thornhill, and while she got a coffee and a donut, I enjoyed a hot chocolate and a donut. We had the opportunity to order through a kiosk or in person, and we opted for an in-person order which included a discount through the app. The drinks and donuts were ready rather quickly, and while there was limited seating in the Tim Hortons itself, we sat in the food court area just outside of the Tim Hortons. The staff were nice and seemed to know what they were doing. The hot chocolate was tasty and chocolatey while the donut (a Chocolate Dip Donut) had a thicker dip than I am used to, but it was delicious! This particular location is open daily from 9 AM to 6 PM, and there is no drive-through option as it is in a food court of a mall.
