Have been coming here for various services over the years -especially for the auto inspection. I continue to be incredibly pleased. Today was an inspection day and Aaron greeted me well & was able to complete the car inspection in under 20 minutes. Nathan his twin brother has been so easy to work with as well in past visits. They have provided honest assessments, reasonable prices especially for NYC, & efficient/reliable service. Their team of employees are also professional. I'm very grateful for their business and continue to highly recommend! read more

Brought my car in for emissions and inspection, and the experience couldn't have been smoother! I think Aaron and team saved my life. I took my car in for inspection and the brakes were completely shot. Omg. The dealer just "inspected" the car 3 months ago!! I'm shaking.... I doubted the diagnosis at first. Asked a LOT of questions. Aaron was very patient and polite and explained everything. He didn't talk down to me. They have a customer for life. read more

Trustworthy, efficient, and excellent service! The only challenge is to catch them at the right time when they are not too busy. We have been bringing our car here for many years now, over five years. Greg, Aaron, and Nathan have consistently identified the solutions quickly and efficiently. We had even had times when they recommended another spot to buy a car battery when we were not getting it with them. It can always be down to trust in quality, which I have felt has always been consistently delivered when it comes to mechanics. In the last seven years, they have done the annual inspection, changed tires, batteries, fixed the brakes, and a lot more. Pro-tip: Call in advance to see when the best time to bring your car in for service at the beginning of the month or the end of the month can be hectic. read more

I bought a used vehicle and wanted to make sure that everything looked good and wanted a diagnostic trouble code to be addressed. I called and was helped by Nathan. Nathan was able to get me in the same day which was important to me since I had limited time. When I arrived, I was surprised at how large and clean the shop was. There Were many mechanics working and you could tell that this was a trusted business in the community considering how busy they were. Nathan was able to address all my concerns and did so in a timely manner. Based on my customer service experience, I can tell that this business operates with and prioritizes integrity. Thanks for your help Nathan. Will be sure to return for future car services. read more

I used to have a car when I lived in Brooklyn and sold it when I moved to Manhattan. I brought my car (a Honda Civic) here last year and I can't recommend them enough. Very friendly and efficient. I felt the price they gave me was fair and best yet, my car was repaired when they said it would be. If you're lucky enough to have a car in tis city, this is a great place for repairs. Oh! They also did an inspection for me when they had it. read more

Trusting just any automobile mechanic, don't have to be scary or daunting. However, you definitely want to find the one mechanic you can honestly trust. I know, it's rare. Nathan, the owner of Manhattan Alignment is your guy. Trustworthy, honest, friendly, very professional and a Subject Matter Specialist in repairing low to high end vehicles! A diamond in the rough, less than 1,000 feet off the Westside Highway at 125th Street. 200 Feet from Columbia University offsite campus & luxury student housing. The best of the best! Identical twins Nathan and Aaron are fair and ethical! Great guys working there and have been there long term!

I cannot say enough about Aaron Gruber and his staff at Manhattan Alignment. They have been taking care of my 2010 Volvo for many years! And this past week was no exception. My car broke down at JFK and Aaron was with me throughout the process of dealing with the tow truck all the way to the fix, with great care and professionalism. I knew I could rely on him for an honest assessment, quick and competent fix, and he even drove my car back to my local garage afterwards. Aaron is in a word a true "mensch", a precious commodity in NYC and in the world of autoshops! read more

Wow. Never thought I'd use that word for an auto shop...but wow indeed. I called ahead for a NYS emissions inspection and they took me in just a few hours later. A friendly "hello" and barely any wait when I arrived. Here's the kicker: when they finished the inspection and I took out the posted fee, the mechanic (Aaron) insisted on a lower amount that was actually more accurate for my vehicle. The combination of honesty/integrity, competence, and speed of service is what will keep me coming back in the future. Thank you again Aaron! read more

Love the Gruber brothers and their talented team. They're like a trusted doctor - only for cars. They know their trade better than most, are scrupulously honest, straightforward, fair and reasonsbly priced. They've done small and large jobs for me on my Mercedes Benz 2008 CLK 350 convertible - always with a smile and always dependable. Highly recommended. read more

Nathan handled my car's issues from start to finish and was great to work with. I had broken tie rods and a stolen catalytic converter (unrelated). Nathan worked with me and my insurance company to get my claim filled out, and had the car repaired and running perfectly the next day! He gave me a great deal on the labor costs as well and was very understanding of how frustrating it was to have a piece of my car stolen. Fast and trustworthy, I highly recommend these guys! read more

These guys are great! I was in the neighborhood and called to see if they could squeeze me in for an inspection. The gentleman that answered the phone was professional and friendly and was able to get me in right away. I was close by but with the Columbia campus expansion I wasn't sure the easiest way to get to the shop, so was given perfect directions. When I arrived a few minutes later, sure enough my car was taken in right away. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. Ten minutes later my car was good to go. They even took the time to fix the light that kept erroneously indicating under inflated tires. It's always great to find a business that's well run, where you get friendly and professional service. I will absolutely go back the next time I need any service on my car. read more

So appreciative of these guys. Boris was like a helpful father who is there to make your car safe and stay in good shape. The customer service was terrific and took care of my situation. Their reviews already garnered my trust but to see it first hand was something else. Much thanks! read more

I received quick quality service! Definitely money well spent. I've visited them a few times and have always been pleased.

Called for an inspection and was able to get an appt the following day. Super fast service at a great price. Will be going back!

Fixed my broken wheel hub, and now my ford ranger is going strong again. Would come back again, thank you!

I showed up to this auto shop that I had never been to without an appointment in need of a car battery replacement. I was afraid they would turn me away, but instead, after a short wait, they took my car in and replaced the battery. Nathan was friendly and professional. I had such a positive experience that I would return without any hesitation. Thank you! read more

I have brought my car for service to Aaron, Nathan and George for over 10 years. The service is always very good and prices are fair. Sadly we are no longer car owners, but if we do own again, I would not hesitate to bring my car here for service. I highly recommend this shop for excellent, timely and honest service. read more

I took my car for an appointment because there was smoke coming out of tail pipe and the car was puttering. at my appointment I was told my engine was shot and all I could do was donate the car and have it towed. on my way back up broadway I didn't think my car would make it so stopped at another garage on the way. they did an oil change. drove my car 40 minutes up the Henry Hudson. then it passed inspection!!! I sold it for $16,000 to Carvana!!!! just think of all the money I would have lost listening to them! read more

Service is always friendly, efficient and well done. Always a good experience here, whether you are coming in for a simple inspection or if you need more complicated work performed. read more

Great service and value! They've been amazing at keeping my 2006 VW Touareg running well for the it's later years.

I came in to get my NYS safety inspection and the process couldn't have been smoother. I called earlier in the day to ask if I needed to make an appointment and George told me that I could come in that afternoon (though my car is new, so the inspection probably takes a lot less time than it would for an older car). If you drive an older car, I would recommend calling in advance (a day or two at least) to make an appointment as it sounds like they are quite busy. After I arrived, George was able to look at my car right away. The whole thing cost $10 (the price is fixed by the state) since I didn't need an emissions test, and I was on my way soon after. I will never understand why a new car needs a safety inspection, but I'm glad this is where I came to have it done. I would definitely come back if I have any car trouble and need a mechanic to look at it! read more

I came in to get my car inspected and had a really positive experience. It was quick, they gave me a safe place to wait while they inspected and answered all my questions. They provided safety information and said when I'd need to come back and get it worked on. This was the best experience of any garage I've been to in NYC. read more

He was so nice and put in so much effort to get my car back to me in one day! As a woman who went there alone, I was totally comfortable and the waiting area was nice. read more

took my 2015 Infiniti qx60 in prestige condition with only 50k miles odometer reading there today for a NYS smog inspection. they raise my vehicle and look underneath it with flashlight to tell me to come look at an oil spot n my axel telling me that my axel needs to be replaced before passing my smog trying to extort me out of money on unneeded car repair service. I then took my car to 552 w 48th st between 10th and 11th Ave to a place called Manhattan auto repair inc. I was in and out in like 15 minute, no gimmicks no trickery and no games played there. my smog passed with flying color. now I will report Manhattan Allignment & diagnosis center for they're deceptive tactics in order to extort money out of unknowing customers. I'd advise you to stay far away from this place as possible and go to the place I suggested or your local dealership to get your car repairs and NYS inspection done. read more

This is a truthful and honest review. I brought in my 2016 Mini Cooper S Countryman for an alignment. I explained my problem to Nathan. He was upfront and honest about the work that needed to be done to fix my alignment. My alignment was fixed within 2 hours. I was comfortable with the price that he charged me. Mini Dealership would of charged way more for the work. I would not hesitate to come back. Update: My alignment is still straight after running over potholes in NYC. I would say the quality of the work is great. Customer service is awesome. read more

I rarely drive into the city but was in the city one day and my car started to overheat. I came across Manhattan Alignment & Diagnostic Center and was met by Aaron upon my arrival. He was very friendly and quick to help me out in my time of need and panic. He got his guys to look at my car, diagnose my problem and come back to me with my best options going forward. Aaron was such a big help and really eased my panic at the moment. In the past, I have dealt with mechanics who in my opinion would have taken advantage of the situation I was in but not this place. I would return here for all my auto needs and recommend their services to family and friends. read more
