I recently had several awful experiences at this shop which I will outline below. I wanted to make other potential customers aware of the kind of shady tactics this place is operating so that they can make an informed decision about what kind of establishments they frequent.
I initially purchased a Uwell Caliburn G from Mango Vapes on 01/13. The device was clearly defective and gave me nothing but trouble from day one. I could not take more than three puffs from it without the chamber becoming flooded under the pod which eventually led to the device becoming inoperable with the red light flashing indicating a short in the device. I tried changing pods, coils, and using a different juice in the device all to no avail. The owner Jaiwoo was nice enough to let me return the device on 01/20 and "upgrade" to a GeekVape Aegis Solo. When doing so he asked me what type of liquid I planned on running through the device, and I informed him that I had a bottle of 0mg juice which I planned on using with the Solo. He became VERY pushy at this point and insisted I take home a bottle of Milkman Strawberry Cinnamon Twister at 3mg. I assume he was worried that I would kick my nicotine habit and would therefore start purchasing from his shop less frequently: a typical "pusher" tactic. He also did not have the correct colour in stock in spite of it being listed as available on the store's website.
Upon using this juice later in the evening I noticed that it tasted a bit "off" and the device was leaking profusely from the bottom air intake on the Cerberus tank. I assumed this was due to some issue with the setup of the device so after putting one tank through it with the included bubble glass I changed everything in the device: the coil, the o-rings, and even switched to the straight glass tank in case that was causing problems. The device continued to leak in spite of the fact that I had kept the bottom airflow closed throughout the filling process, only opening it to about the size of a ballpoint pen tip when using the mod. The device eventually became saturated with liquid: in the 510 thread, behind the screen and buttons in spite of the fact that it is supposed to be waterproof.
Throughout all of this the liquid still tasted strange to me but I chalked it up to the fact that I am not a huge fan of cinnamon and figured I would just cut my losses.
This is when I looked at the bottom of the Milkman bottle and noticed that it expired in 08/2020. No wonder he was so eager to unload this juice on me considering it had expired almost six months prior to my purchase!
He was kind enough to do the "right" thing and refund my purchase but this should never have happened in the first place. Upon returning to his shop he made a bunch of excuses but prefaced them with "This is probably just going to sound like an excuse, but..." so I guess that made it all good in his mind.
After using the Solo two times at 20-30 watts I have developed bloody blisters in my mouth and on my tongue thanks to being provided expired nicotine juice with the device. Please take your money elsewhere unless you want your health to be put in jeopardy. In light of him pushing expired liquid on me I now also believe that the two devices he sold me were probably old stock that he had lying around considering his litany of excuses about the expired liquid and the fact that he could not be bothered to update the stock on his own website.
Bottom line: buyer beware! Shop somewhere else unless you want to be sold defective devices and to be provided with expired liquid to fill them up with! read more
