I recently inquired a round trip ticket to Manila while I was here. The woman at the kiosk was informative, and provided me with several options based on date of departure, airlines, and season. Expect to pay top $$$ during Easter week and Christmas. In general, fares to Manila from SFO with a roundtrip ticket can cost you anywhere from the lows $900 as long as you don't mind lay overs. Mango Tours is quite possibly one of the largest travel agency in the Philippine Islands catering to Filipinos from the US. They have been in business for more than 35 years. I have purchased tickets from their US locations, however; booking your tour package is significantly less in Manila. For instance, I booked a tour from Manila to Boracay Island and saved about $150 USD per person. WOW, what a problem. Bought a round trip ticket from Mango Tours from Iryne Datinguinoo , SEATAC TO MANILA and layover in Taiwan. EVA AIR cancels the last part of our return flight home. OK no problem there, HOWEVER now to reschedule (Mango keeps saying re-book like I canceled the flight), Mango wants to charge me a fee for re-scheduling! Mango sells me a product that's now broken and they want me to pay a fee to fix it. WT? Their reason is they are a third party vendor and have different rules then the airlines. SO WHAT, they sold me a broken product and want me to pay to fix it! Now Irene gives the problem to Ilene, I don't want to talk to Ellaine Allauigan because she did not sell me the ticket. Ellaine Allauigan calls me and try's to finish the problem, however she told me earlier in the day Irene had to take care of it. I didn't cancel, the AIRLINES did! SOOOO, I called EVA AIRLINES direct, they were great! No problem to reschedule the flight, no fee no charge (real tough huh took less than 5 min.), because I purchased the ticket from Mango TOURS they told me to let Mango Tours know to simply contact them, go to special services request, where they have put a note and OK the change as they are holding the date, they have to have Mango Tours ok the change. Well Ellaine Allauigan tells me they can't do that. She tells me to ask EVA AIR to go ahead and re do the ticket, I already did! EVA AIR told me to contact Mango Tours as I bought the ticket from Mango Tours and its ready to go. This is still in progress, so hopefully I can write a more favorable review in the near future. We have been dealing with Mango Tours for over 15 years, always liked the service, but now? I figure If I need just a plane ticket in the future I advise just buy direct from the airlines, doesn't take much time to go direct to the airlines with internet access nowadays. Just to recap , If I buy a product from a store , take it home and find out its unusable, I can take it back for a full refund, or free replacement. Mango Tours refuses to refund our money after Philippine Air Lines canceled our flights due to COVID-19. I have been trying to get a refund for four tickets since April 2019 and they do not respond to emails, hang up on you after they put you on hold. They seem to have a lot of excuses why they can't issue a refund. I recommend you stay away from this company as once they have your money you will not get it back for any reason. This place is an A+ rating when it comes to customer service. I had brought my grandmother here two months ago to buy a ticket to the Philippines and they were very helpful. The manager whose name was Hernan Dichoso was very accommodating to my 80 year old grandmother. The minute we came to his office, he assisted my grandmother who had a walker and immediately help her to sit down. He was very patient to her even though she had a lot of questions regarding her trip. We were there for more than an hour and was bombarded with all a lot of questions to him and he was able to answer everyone of them. Afterwards, I had to apologize to him for all the questions that my grandmother had asked him and he said "No problem at all." When we left, my grandmother said to me that we should come back to this Mango Tour (Vallejo, CA ) office and to make sure to contact the manager, Hernan the next time my family and I are going back to the Philippines. STAY AWAY from this place! They're liars and cheats! The owners and workers are all incompetent. They promised me last month they could cancel and refund my ticket with a $250 penalty. I called yesterday to get my refund because I'm starting a new job and can't go next month. But they retracted their statement, told us they cannot refund me and that I would have to pay an additional penalty for being a no-show. What kind of business is this? They lied to us just to get a sell! That's so shady! Are these people real Filipinos? They cheat and swindle their own. Don't bother trying to make a complaint about Lucy because her husband Danny is the manager. He wasn't even present during the conversation and he discounted our version of events. Price wise, I got my ticket from Mango Tours at a reasonable one on a peak season but beware, be sure to check the airlines' website as well before you book your flight with them because believe you me, they will never tell you everything re your flight. The one that I got from them was posted and even confirmed by one of their reps as direct flight and it turned out there there was a HIDDEN layover and I never would have known it if I did not check the airline's site. If you are looking for a good price, they will definitely give it to you but be sure to do your own due diligence first before giving them your business. read more

We booked our flight from LA to Manila roundtrip via Mango Tours with PAL as our chosen airline. When the Philippine president announced a flight ban that will begin within 72 hours, we called PAL and Mango tours right away to get our flights changed. Because we booked via Mango Tours, PAL was unable to help us change our flights. After waiting for more than 1 hour, Mango tours answered our call via telephone. They were glad to assist us and promised that they forwarded our concern to the right department and that someone from that department will contact us. We even confirmed the phone number and email to be used to communicate. We waited for 12 hours, but we did not receive an email or phone call. I tried to email someone, but we did not receive any response. We understand that they are experiencing a maximum amount of emails and telephone calls because many of their customers are affected by this travel ban, but what we do not understand is that we already reached them and they know our concern, but nobody tried to reach out to us again like they promised. Because we cannot rely on them to help us, we booked a one way flight to LA with 3 layovers. Like everyone, this is the most stressful trip we had. If we waited for their response, we would not be able to come back to LA in a timely manner in accordance to the ban. If I did not email their customer service again, nobody would reach out to us five days later. All we want is for them to respond to us in a timely manner, as fast as we provide payment based on their timeline as well. What made us more disappointed with this business is, after we explained our circumstance of buying a new flight ticket back to LA, they continued to ask us what our new preferred flight date is. We feel disrespected and ignored because it seems like they did not even find time to read our email and understand our situation. And, even after explaining the same thing to them again, they offered to rebook the flight until 06/05/2020, without considering AGAIN that the person is now back to LA and that no one will be able to use that ticket during the timeline that they provided. The least that they can do is LISTEN, UNDERSTAND and RESPOND appropriately to the concerns of their customers, but, apparently, that is lost in the middle of this chaos. read more

Came in on Saturday and the line is long. Waited for 3 hours and there are still 3 customers ahead of me (one customer spends about an hour to complete the transaction). So decided to leave and plan coming back the next day before the opening time(note: opening time is 9am). The next morning I was in at 8:45am. At 9am the place is not open yet. At 9:15am, 9:30am, and 9:45am the place is still close. Finally at around 9:50am the lady (employee) shows up. She did not apologize or explained for arriving late. This is ridiculous and very bad business practices. Just BEWARE if you plan to do business with this office. For me, for sure I will not come back to do business with Mango Tours. My family and relatives had been using MangoTours to visit Philippines. The staff in Vallejo are so friendly, courteous and kind. I was with my 80 year old lola and she was asking a lot of questions but the manager was not bothered and just answered all her questions politely. I told him to excuse her with all the questions but he said that it was ok. After the manager had answer all her questions, my lola was so impressed and told him to go ahead and book her a trip. Horrible! We recently booked a flight to Manila for my grandmother. The seat they gave her was supposedly "the best seat". That it was near the lavatory. My grandmother has problems with her knees. She has trouble walking so it was important for us to get her a good seat. They assured us of this. However, when my grandmother got on her flight... she was taken to the very back of the plane. Since she also has problems with her kidneys, my grandmother has to go frequently. The flight was very uncomfortable for her because it was a long walk every time she had to go. These people are shady. They will not hesitate to lie to you just to get you to book a flight with them. They will tell you anything you want to hear. I would advice people to avoid this company. I always go to Mango Tours for all domestic & international travel arrangements. The staff & personnels at their Vallejo office are very helpful and patient to all my questions and inquiries. They are very honest too! They don't rush you to close a deal and get your money right away but instead they take their time to offer you of other airline alternatives to give you the best lowest airfare that will suite your travel needs. There was one time that I made a flight reservations for my family with one of their agent, Hernan Dichoso and he gave me a couple of days to finalize and pay for the tickets. But when I finally came back to pay for it he told me that the fare went down by about $30 bucks each person. I was very happy & thankful for his honesty as I was able to save at least $150 for my family of five. read more

I know several people who bought their airfare tickets to the Philippine through Mango Tours. My family and I have been getting our tickets from them for the past three years because it's where we usually find the cheapest airfare. It's usually the only reason I go out to Vallejo and pay the steep toll across the bridge. Lately, the online pricing seems to be the same as the price I can get from their office so I've been getting my ticket online. Don't bother call them to get a quote because they'll never return your call. But, I think that's common with some travel agencies. One time, I tried to get a quote over the phone from this travel agency by the Philippine Consulate office in San Francisco and they never returned my call either. I believe it's name is Orientex Travel and they also offer cheap/bargain airfare deals to the Philippines. But, they're only open 8-5 and working in the eastbay, it'll be impossible for me to get there by 5 with all the rush hour traffic unless I take off work early. I'm glad Mango Tours is open till 8 or 9 PM. Also, it's location is perfect - right across Seafood City and all that good filipino restaurants to choose from. I would rate them low. Me and my sister booked our trip to Manila and Cebu with them ( kiosk at Seafood city in Mira Mesa) SAN Diego. Everything went well so far. Later I asked Sol the person I was dealing with about the free shuttle sign that's in front of their kiosk with the understanding that's there are pick up points. She said the time that we are leaving Jan 26 is not free and the free shuttle starts on Feb. 5th. We have to pay by Nov 29 if we want to make sure there's position for us in the van and it has to be cash only. I told her I will think about it because I have to ask my sister first. The cost for me and my sister back and forth was $220.00. My sister said it's okay . So I sent my husband in a hurry because of the deadline. When we arrived back here in States a PAL employee told me that the shuttle should be free. I e mailed Sol and her story was totally different. beware of this travel agency!! they actually train their staff to lie to customers...first they will give you a very low price( too good to be true!!) but later on as soon as you provide them your credit card info., suddenly they will tell you that the price just went up!! this what happen to me today, i booked yesterday with mango tours travel agent and told me the price rt sfo - mnl, is $960.00 for 1 adult 1 child. the next day she confirmed tht the price is still $960. but as soon as i send her my credit card info, same day, i was told that she made a mistake and the price just went up to $1260.00!! i try to complain to their management and the only thing they told me is that this thing happens everyday! they did'nt even feel sorry at all. it was very upsetting!!! i would never recommend this company to anyone because they LIE, they are not professional, non-educated people, no manners, no good customer service at all! pls feel free to check better businesss bureau and you will see a lot of complain with this travel company. read more

I stopped using Mango Tours! A while back, I desperately needed a plane ticket to go to Philippines and dealt with the agency in Philippines . I was quoted 1,700$ that night and everything confirmed which I thought it was. I was waiting for the itinerary which I never received so I called them all night with no answer when they were supposed to be open 24 hours. I called them the following morning to find out that my ticket was never confirmed because the agents attended xmas party and left me hanging. So the ticket went from 1700 to 2300. What a unprofesional staff they have. I understand nothing is guaranteed until its ticketed but had they finish the job that night, I would have gotten the 1700 fare...dont book with mango tours again because they will never refund nothing back... read more

Don't book on-line!!!! I bought my ticket thru Mango Tours on-line for the first time which I thought was really very convenient. After booking the flight, I paid with my credit card but they require you send them a copy of your credit card front and back including a copy of your ID. The copy of the credit card and ID had to be sent via FAX or e-mail to finalize the transaction. I had a bad feeling about this process but decided to send a scanned copy of my credit card and ID. The next day when I tried to use the same credit card for something else, the credit card company stopped the transaction. When I inquired why , I was told that someone was trying to use my credit card at the same time to book a flight with Air France. I was asked if my card was stolen or lost and I told them that the only thing I did was send a copy via e-mail to Mango Tours. Someone, somewhere must have gotten hold of the card copy and used it. read more
