Nichole insisted that the only way to get me to my color was to do highlights and put an all over dye and tone my hair. The end result was damaged GREY hair with streaky white highlights. Nichole offered to fix my hair but I was unwilling to go back as my hair looked so awful after the first time. Attached are the pictures of my hair after my appointment with Nichole. Why I was unhappy: Nichole left on the highlights waaaay too long and only did them on two spots near my face where they were extremely streaky and only underneath my hair in a possible sad attempt to create a balayage look. My hair was extremely damaged from the highlights she did only underneath and the sides of my face. She did not check at any point during my time in the salon to see how much my hair had lifted. She put over an all over color on my roots which was the color I wanted, however the toner she used turned my hair completely grey. After three hours at a different salon, my hair was color corrected to something other than a streaky grey. Multiple stylists at the other salon went to said that if my hair was lightened anymore on where she put in the highlights the hair would be so damaged to where it would break off. I asked her for a refund, which was refused for several reasons. The time and expensive products were her main reasons, as she "uses a very expensive bond treatment with my bleach to prevent damage" in addition to the excuse she had never worked on my hair before. Based on my experience at the salon, Nichole gave me an awful color and is unwilling to do anything other than offer to "fix" her mistakes.

I didn't think that I would have to specifically request a staff member with experience. I assumed that the nail techs were seasoned. I was able to get in the same day that I called. That should have sent up some serious red flags. But I trusted that Nicole's staff would be professional and knowledgeable. I expected her employees would have some experience too. I was quickly booked with Jordyn. She's a young girl with little to no experience. She's been a nail tech at Rumors Salon and Day Spa for a couple years. She was not confident and her lack of experience is shown in the pictures. She was not sanitary either. She did my friend's nails first. We assumed that all of her equipment was sanitary. When it was my turn, I was shocked when she proceeded to do my nails without any sort of sanitization. She proceeded to use the same file and drill bits on me that were used on my friend's nails. She did not clean the nail files or drill after finishing my friend's nails. I had to request that she clean them. I was disgusted!! I found out later from my hair stylist that Jordyn has had a few clients get nail fungus. As a beauty professional, sanitation is extremely important!!! I was told I was classified as a no show, and they tried to call but i didn't get a call. Find out later they wrote down the wrong number. They offered the next day for me to come in, which fine people make mistakes I gave in. I go in for a 1:30 appointment when the salon closes at 2pm (I was not aware nor did they say that isn't enough time) I would have come back if you had relayed your closing time for a good experience. Anyway, I go back in, and the lady sits me right in her shampoo chair. She didn't ask me anything about what i wanted. She only knew i wanted a cut. She does the shampoo, and it is so vigorous that she was actually giving me whiplash and was hitting my neck on the back because she was rushing. I get my hair done often and that's not it's supposed to be. Then she combs my hair out and FINALLY asks what i want. Keep in mind, this is the first she spoke to me besides hi upfront. I tell her I'm here for a lot of hair off and my hair is curly. She says "well you should have said that before so I could have done stuff differently." Ummmm YOU DIDNT ASK ME! There was a lady processing in the chair next me and just looks at us because she witnessed my shampoo and conditioner. Then, I show her a picture of what i want, point to where i want my longest layer in the front and tell her i want a soft U. That didn't make sense to her. She said "well that's confusing." So i said "fine cut it straight" very incompetent. She realized I was irritated and started making small talk because she was near the end of styling and knew it was time for her tip. The entire experience was awful! I wanted a simple hair cut with soft layers and a soft U. The stylist was unprofessional, rude and mean. I have the stylist card, and I certainly never plan on coming back. She cut off 6inches of hair, styled, didn't give me a U, didn't give me a good experience, and i was out of there in 35 min. It was a total rush job

    I scheduled an appointment with KellyAnn for my daughter, It was her 1st time going to her. The…read moreappointment was for a haircut, to clean up her dead ends...not a new style. When I made the appointment, I asked if she was experienced with ethnic hair. I was told yes, she was trained in textured hair. Once at the salon, daughter in the chair, I asked KellyAnn how much experience she has with this type of hair while holding my daughter's long hair. She looked at me and said "I am VERY experienced." I thought great and continued to discuss what we were looking for in a haircut. I wanted her ends cut off (cut was to go from middle of the back to middle of the shoulder blades). The horror begins...I am waiting in the sitting area for 2.5 HOURS! Remember, IT"S ONLY A CUT/TRIM!!! I finally take peek and notice my daughter under the dryer with 2-strand twists. (KellyAnn was trying to make her curls come in.) Once done, my daughter comes from around the corner, hair is now shoulder length. My initial thought was "okay, shorter than we discussed" I was not impressed. I asked if layers were put in because I could see different lengths. Couldn't really gauge the cut because the 2-strand twists made everything lay different. Once home and daughters hair washed I could truly see the cut, her hair was completely JACKED up!!! OMG!! HORRENDOUS! I sent an email and the owner responded with an apology and he told me he would look into it the next day and get back to me. That was 4 days ago and I still haven't heard back. I even sent a second email requesting a refund for the srvice...no response. I had a great experience with one of their stylists on my curly hair, Tennille. But, I would not recommend KellyAnn for "textured hair". My daughter's hair looks like an overgrown mullet. Her hair has 2 distinct levels opposed layers. The salon owner apologized but without following up on his initial email, I have determined that customer satisfaction is not his priority being he has not resolved this complaint. I requested a refund for service and tip $44.85 ...crickets. I would not recommend this salon based on my experience there. (I will add pictures if this platform allows me to as I move through the steps of posting the review)
