I had a great experience. Great staff and fair pricing. Definitely my go to print shopread more

I really dislike writing bad reviews... so much more fun to write good things about people and…read morecompanies. I am a designer / screen printer that is just opening her own company, so needless to say that I took a lot of time in the design of my new business cards so that I may show off some of my talent. Unfortunately at this time I do not yet possess the equipment necessary to print my own cards properly. Which brought me to looking for a in city printing establishment. Being fair to TPH, my design was not the most basic... and they would have probably had no problem in just doing the straight print, but where our problems began is with the idea that I was very interested in the new raised print on parts of my card... and in their customer service. I sent them my image and since they outsource the thermal print they told me that they had to get back to me... which they did in a pretty timely matter (I believe a couple hours later). He told me that it would cost over $550 for 1000 cards, and $150 for 1000 cards that did not have the raised print. I asked him why so much more... he indicated it was due to the grunge border around the front of the card (which had different shades of white and grey) and they had to mix all of those colours... I should of thought of that but being the first time, I didn't... but it make sense. so I asked if he could get me a quote on how much it would be to just do the company name, and if he wouldn't mind a second quote on how much it would be to do the company name on the front, and my contact information on the back. He was pleasant enough... but it almost seemed like he was annoyed. I tried to make the situation a little "lighter" by trying to nicely explain that I was really interested in the raised print but for obvious reasons that I couldn't afford $550. He NEVER got back to me! and after trying to find a company in the city that could do what I wanted, I got so annoyed and frustrated that I ended up just using Vista Print for the time being. I just got off the phone with him, making sure that my order was not processed (because before they will even give you a quote you have to enter an order) and let him know that because I didn't hear back from him that I decided to go somewhere else. He told me that he sent me an email... I was looking directly at my emails at the time (it is how I got the phone number to call him) and his was not there... I told him that and said "weird" and told me "it is what it is". I am now extremely determined to get my new printer so I can print off my own cards (...and anyone else's that seems to be having this much trouble find someone good in the city) =)
