The grounds of this school are so well kept, the security here gives me comfort as well, so many resource officers and lots of teachers out helping kids when it's time for final bell. Teachers are great at communicating here, we couldn't make it to our sons parent teacher conference so she called us and had a phone conference instead, they are so good at working around busy schedules too! Often times there would be no one in the facility and I would have to walk around to the back gate and yell for someone to come to the door. I also asked if I could change my daughter's diaper immediately after picking her up and was refused entrance to their facility, leaving me no option but to change my daughter's poopy diaper in my car in their parking lot. My child was diagnosed with Enterobius 4.5 months after she started attending this daycare. I took my child to several doctors starting in March, she was misdiagnosed three times. My daughter suffered severe physiological and cognitive delays as a result of this daycare's negligence. In an attempt to speak with the director about the pinworm infection, Carrie NEVER spoke to me about it, and only called me when I mentioned contacting an attorney to an employee when I was told she didn't have their tax number. Carrie called me from a restricted line, left a voicemail with their tax ID number, and not once addressed the pinworm infection. I also E-mailed her about the infection, and still have yet to receive an E-mail back. If your child attends this daycare, I highly recommend getting your child treated for Enterobius (pinworms); a scotch tape test underneath a microscope is the best way; stool samples often show false-negative results. I do not recommend anyone's child to attend this pre-school. There is so much more to this story, but those are the highlights, and the most important. It isn't a safe place for children. I should also note that Carrie does not have her preschool listed on Google, and "Creative Kids Preschool" is not the actual name of her facility; "Creative Kids Connection LLC".

It's unfortunate that some folks had a negative experience with their kids here, but the same can be said for any public and private school - some kids and families do well and some do not. Private schools do have their drawbacks - specials needs, etc - as they simply don't have the vast resources as the public system does and are unable to change / derive curriculum to match each child and family due to their size and scope. As far as my experience at Canterbury with my two children, they love It and are learning at an excellent clip. The parent community is close-knit and are active participants at the school on a daily basis. I would give this school 10 stars if I could. That said, making a decision on your child's education is a very important and personal decision. In-person visits, interviews, and learning about the unique communities and cultures first hand are a must. In my opinion, if you are relying on Yelp and/or Google reviews, you're doing it wrong.
