"My time at Canterbury has been a disappointing experience, to say the least. While the campus may…read moreseem appealing at first glance, the reality is far from the image portrayed in brochures and promotional materials. The academic programs, touted as 'comprehensive' and 'innovative,' fell short of expectations. The coursework often felt outdated, and several instructors seemed disengaged and uninterested in the success of their students. The lack of practical applications and hands-on experiences left me feeling ill-prepared for the real-world challenges in my field. The administration at Canterbury is another major drawback. Bureaucratic processes are convoluted, and getting assistance from the administrative offices is a frustrating ordeal. Whether dealing with financial aid, course registration, or housing issues, I found myself constantly running into roadblocks, and the staff's lack of responsiveness only added to the frustration. Campus facilities, while visually appealing, are poorly maintained. The promised state-of-the-art facilities turned out to be more style than substance. Broken equipment in laboratories, outdated technology in classrooms, and insufficient library resources were a constant source of frustration for many students. The lack of a cohesive and supportive community was evident throughout my time at Canterbury. The student body felt fragmented, and there was a noticeable absence of school spirit or engaging extracurricular activities. It seemed like everyone was simply going through the motions, with little enthusiasm for learning or collaboration. Career services were practically nonexistent. The so-called job placement assistance was minimal, and networking opportunities were scarce. I struggled to find support in my post-graduation job search, feeling abandoned by the institution that should have prepared me for the workforce. In conclusion, I would caution anyone considering Canterbury to thoroughly research and reconsider their options. The glossy exterior masks a reality of subpar academics, unresponsive administration, and a lackluster campus culture. I regret my decision to attend this institution and would strongly advise prospective students to explore alternative educational opportunities." Not only was the school itself a dissapointmen so were the people there the kids were rude and said hurtful things to my kid. The teachers knew about the abusive behavor and did nothing

The school does not uphold their values they promote so proudly---especially the students. The majority of the student body are persecutors and have no concept of inclusitivioty or even basic respect. The faculty is no better. Although there are a handful of benevolent educators who genuinely love to teach kids, the majority are biased and pernicious towards student's mental health. The school's infrastructure and education itself is mediocre, but it most likely could be better. The true issue at SLA is their methodology for handling the bullying and gossip that goes on there---which is essentially deliberate ignorance. So many poor kids, including myself, were bullied while attending SLA. I have several chronic mental and physical illnesses, which impact my day to day life. There was little to no support.

I will not take this disrespect nor should my kid. This behavior is unacceptable, my child has specified many times that their name is their na is *blank* but they completely change it to something compelet different. After they clarified to their teachers their name wasn't that name, the teachers reprimanded them. Also, the substitute was pronouncing my kid"s last name on probably on purpose and it made them feel embarrassed. The difficulty to do something so simple is beyond me.

Many pros and cons to this place. I went in to inquire about a membership and swim lessons. Met Ms…read more Cynthia at the front desk and she was so sweet and helpful. She answered all of our questions and more. She also let us take a tour of the place. We ran into Hillary at the pool who was also extremely helpful and nice. We had so much in common which made me feel like this was the place to be. The actual facility could use a facelift, but because of the people we met, we are going forward with joining. I wish there was an outdoor track and a better room for the kids to play in. I will come back to update about pricing and quality once we've been there for a bit.

I struggle with this one a bit. I really do love the YMCA and for a while, this one was terrific. I…read morecome down to Bradenton to perform every year and have had a YMCA Nationwide membership for about a decade. have never had an issue with using my membership at other YMCAs, but this time the Y let me know that I could come in for free the first time, but after that I would be charged 6.00 per visit. The front desk person was very helpful when I inquired further and she explained that since most of their clients are visitors, their equipment was getting used but they didn't receive any of the membership due money from visitors and it was really affecting them. While I appreciate this, it sounds like there needs to be more of an internal discussion within the YMCA nationwide program. We discussed some of the possible options and the easiest, though still inconvenient one, was to suspend my hometown account and then start up an account at the Bradenton Branch. However, there didn't seem to be a way to bypass the enrollment fee and so I would have to pay that and then ultimately close the membership down after my three month contract in Bradenton ends in January. It was one too many hurdles to hop over to join a gym I have already joined. While I respect that this YMCA needs to make changes so that their facility can continue to prosper, I am disappointed that a program the YMCA touts as "Nationwide" isn't really. The ability to go to YMCAs all over was one of the major reasons why my family opted to join.
