After learning of this 'gaming' eatery, my friend could not wait to visit.
Upon entering we were 'greeted' and told to sit wherever we wanted, There were three people at a very long bar and one other person eating. We sat down.
The atmosphere is warm and comfortable There were NUMBEROUS television showing anime, gaming shows and fantasy movies - to categorize this place as a 'sports' venue is more than a little misleading but it was charming in its own way!
The menu seemed plentiful however this typeset was SO SMALL!! I could not read it, If Mana Tap hopes to serve guests 50 years and older a larger typeset is imperative. There was a variety of selections however in a pub setting, geared to gamers' I was VERY surprised to see there was NOT ONE burger to be found! There were however an oddly high number of mac and cheese options. We opted for the Crispy Chicken Sandwich - and crispy it was. It may have been the crispest chicken I have ever had!! and to make it even better it arrived at the table HOT. The pickle was COLD and crunchy and the bun was nicely toasted. Fries were also crispy and hot! We were pleasantly surprised. My friend and I were very pleased,
The service however, was less than stellar. We had to flag her down for silverware, and again for napkins and again for refills on our drinks and finally for the bill. Upon review of the bill it did not add up and it was a dollar more than the itemized reciept listed. We inquired and were told it was a fee due to the fact we utilized a card vs cash. This is a fine practice if guests know about it, but we had to ask. Frustrating.
All in all it was a positive experience and the food was very good. We will go again. read more
