Formally called Bristol BBQ Poultry, the Amish smoked meat stand is inside the Bristol Amish Market…read moreand sells a full variety of German American style pork, beef, chicken and usual suspect sides. The aroma calls to you the second you walk into this warehouse sized market. Just take a number and wait on line for your chance to point and inquire. We may have overdone it, but ordered a whole spit roasted chicken, fried chicken breasts and wings, BBQ kielbasa and a quarter turkey. Although we purchased other things in the market, this was our largest haul. There is something special about interacting with a fully dressed Amish/Mennonite woman in frock and bonnet. Shyly friendly and endlessly willing to accommodate your requests, we found ourselves being more adventurous than normal. So far, we've tried the fried chicken (excellent when reheated in the air fryer), the rotisserie chicken (likewise), and the kielbasa (the sauce changes the bite & chew into a three dimensional experience). The turkey wasn't my fave, as I didn't care for the smokey flavor, nor the savoriness. Still, worth the travel time for the uniqueness of the experience. While we wouldn't rush back, we wouldn't hesitate to return when in that Amish black buggy mood.

Eh. Was really looking forward to a hot dog joint other than Five Guys in the area. Most of the…read moredogs were good. Could have used more of a good hard fry in my opinion. The onions weren't really sautéed as much as I like either. The beans and mac were unfortunately some of the most flavorless sides I've had in a long time. The beans almost had a sour taste. If you are used to Bush's Baked Beans these aren't it for you. Tenders were ok and thank goodness the tots were right. Other than that I'll probably continue my search for a good local hot dog joint.

They picked a perfect spot in Bristol Borough that they seemed to have partnered with Naked Brewing on. If you have kids the downstairs area is ok, but with live music I had to take my son upstairs to preserve our hearing! We found parking in the large municipal lot behind the building. Upstairs we found cozier seating at a high top table with service. Downstairs I believe you have to walk up to the bar or just sit at the bar for service. I also don't believe the full beer menu is available downstairs. The menu is full of tempting toppings and styles with your choice of regular/footlong dogs, hot sausage or kielbasa. I had a hot sausage with pepper hash and coleslaw. It had a snappy skin, decent heat and was delicious when paired with the sweet coleslaw and pepper hash. My friend ordered frank and tots and reported it to be delicious and filling. My son had a regular dog and we all shared a big pretzel with beer cheese. I had an IPA named Thank Frank that was about average for a West Coast style IPA and my pal had a couple of their darker offerings that he wasn't impressed with. Our server was nice and gave a great recommendation to add the pepper hash. She wasn't the fastest at coming to check on our beers so we bailed. I had one and she never asked if I wanted another and never refilled our waters. Prices weren't too bad. I would definitely return for some more of the interesting creations on the dawg menu, but the brews are really nothing special. Good solid time here and kid friendly, not so great service or beer.

I feel this may offend some to feel. They know the best cheesesteak in Philly and I know there's a…read morecult that loves Gino's in the cult that loves Pats and there are others I get that and you can enjoy those cheesesteaks and I'm not knocking them. However, if you want to elevate your game and go where no one has gone in this area before which cheesecakes you want then go to Curley's Comfort Foods. This is where the elite come to enjoy a real cheesesteak a real and why I say that because it's all in the ingredients it all starts with the meat. This is by far a cut above the others. It's the bread and my gosh it is perfect and I don't love bread. But I made an allowance in this case. We started off basic cheesesteak, grilled onions, provolone cheese we can always come back another time other added ingredient option but starting off as a base point to jump off with, we were absolutely blown. My wife and I ordered what we thought was going to be boneless chicken wings. It went up peeing pieces of white meat. Chicken cut up and it was a big was delicious. We had breaded chicken pieces, white meat, chicken in a sweet spicy sauce. It was terrific tasty not chewy no little feathers. Nothing that I'm used to seeing in chicken wings. And I have to tell you the level of Customerservice the level of respect that cross the counter back-and-forth as we sat there, enjoying our dinner and listening to conversations after having our own experience we went back to the counter when we finished to thank them all and they were so appreciative. Mind you I get it most orders are takeout. My wife and I learned a long time ago about takeout food there's that. In the containers from the minute you pick it up and bring it home that we called the soggy phase so we wanted to make sure that our first experience was within seconds of it being plated and we ate inside. They were like six small tables. There's a bunch of tables outside as well you can bring your own booze. Please note this is gonna cost you more than what you're used to paying at Pat and Gina's and others like it and then you're gonna receive my review and you're gonna thank me for it. Eating at Curley's comfort foods is an experience that you need to have so treat yourself and you won't be going back to the other places.

Fries are also quite good. Quite a few people got wings with their homemade hot sauce. I'll stick to the cheesesteaks.
