It's a bit of a stretch to call this place a Country Club…read more Me and Ben were visiting from Fort Mill, SC and played this on 7/24/23 on recommendation of James who lives in Manchester, NH. Me, Ben & James had an 8a tee time @ Breakfast Hill in Greenland, NH so we were warmed up already. James has played here many times and says he likes it for his short game practice because of the short Par 3 and the reachable Par 4's.. The Par 4's might be reachable for low handicappers but #16 is 370 yards, #17 is 345 yards, #13 & #14 are both 310 yards. There are no Senior tees. You have the option of playing the Red's as the most forward tee's but I chose not to. The carts are old and run down. The course opened in 1969 which was 54 years ago. There have not been too many improvements that I could tell since then. There was a family with 2 young teenagers on the #1 tee when we started so we decided to play the back 9 first. The tee boxes are really in sad shape. The had a very low budget for tee markers and it showed. My biggest issue with his course was all the low hanging tree branches on the borders of the fairway. In the cases where there are dog legs. you had to shape your short or lay up for a better angle into the hole. Had you played the course previous, you would know that but James didn't play with us so we took our strokes and moved on. The other issues I had was all the wet areas around the greens. It had not rained in a week according to James but there was standing water around most all of the holes. The fairways had not been cut nor had the second cut of the fringe around the greens. been cut. It's not a long course and would probably be a lot more playable and enjoyable if they would just read this review along with many other similar reviews and make some changes.

I've heard complaints about the wait list but memberships are limited in order to save tee times for the public- so not sure why people are so upset! The problem is that the holes are so close together, that the players on the previous hole tee off heading in the precise location where you're teeing off on the next hole, so, you will have other players' balls actually landing *very close to or on* you. Also, it is located at a campground, for real, where you have to walk past trailers and campers while golfing, which lends its own atmosphere, but for me, made it different and fun. Not too expensive at $15/pp walking, for non-campers. For the money, there are better laid out courses in the area, (like Apple Hill for one), though, that don't have all of that distraction of other balls falling on you, lol. Still, good short game practice.

Holes 10, 11, and 12 come to mind. 11 is silly narrow and is under heavy fire from the nearby range. Gotta think no-one cares because range balls were whistling through a narrow band of trees and collecting on that hole as we played it. Greens were slow and had piles of ants erupting from them. Fairways were cut pretty tight but were patchy and burned out. Its a sub standard layout on which high handicappers will lose a dozen balls per round.

At some courses they can be thundering pricks but here they genuinely care about pace of play and will give a heads up if certain holes are cart path only or need to be played differently due to maintenance, water, etc. Much appreciated.

They don't aerate till fall either. Very walkable, and very challenging. Some of the hardest par 4s in the state, but all very fair holes too. We had our wedding her 9/10/22 and could not be happier. Although my original coordinator was on…read morematernity leave and I was not given advance notice of this, Scott and Ann stepped up to the plate and truly helped my vision come to life. We had the bridal suite in the morning with complimentary breakfast and my make up and hair stylists were impressed with how much space and natural light we had. Our ceremony space outside was beautiful and Scott and Ann ensured we started relatively on time. We were given two golf carts to go around and take photos whereever we pleased on the beautiful grounds. Many people have told us how delicious the food at the cocktail hour was and once we finished photos, we were given our own sampler platter and a drink to great us. There was one snafu with an outside bakery never delivering our cake, but Ann figured it out with the help of my bridesmaids and we still had a beautiful cake to cut. Dinner was delicious, cookies were wonderful, and the pizzas at the end were definitely appreciated. The next morning all my decorations were packaged and ready for pick up. I am so so thankful for Nashua Country Club for helping me have the wedding of my dreams!

I noticed that the atmospheric conditions there frequently caused my ball to land off center, but I've seen the same issue at other courses, I don't fault the management of the course for that. Overall the fairways and greens are well maintained, and it is a very affordable course.
