There is also a gym, WIC, and other services in the same building. The place is pretty clean and new and they have copiers (for a fee), scanners, and other things but it's a really nice place to go study. The only issue there is that whoever designed the multi-function center made the upstairs and downstairs share the same ceiling air space so you constantly hear the yelling and screaming of kids coming from the basketball court. Whoever thought it'd be a good idea to put the quiet area of a library next to a basketball court and not insulate the walls and leave them open must have flunked out of architecture school. The best feature of this library is the Tech Link next door where you can learn how to use a 3D printer, use a sound studio, and a bunch of cool things that would normally cost you a lot of money.

Woo Hoo! They prefer you make an appointment before coming but if you are unaware they are very helpful. I came here because they offer use of computers and printers. The printer takes cash or card but if you use a card you must pay a minimum of $1.00 but that's no biggie. You must wear a mask to enter the library and they check your temperature with a very neat gadget. Hand sanitizer is available and you must use it before going to the computer. The computers are utilized so that you are socially distanced. The maximum time on the computer is 45 minutes. This is strict, in fact after 45 minutes the computer turns off. I understand how this is practical pre Covid and I guess during but I do wish it was an hour. I had to take a test and print the results. I passed but I felt doubly under pressure. If you need more than 45 minutes they would allow you to use another computer if one was available. Staff was very friendly and I was grateful for that!

There is a water bottle refill station next to the individual bathrooms. The ambiance is stunning and modern, not exactly silent but not too loud despite the presence of a children's section. We didn't try out the other amenities of those library, as we had a lot of studying to do. Would highly recommend as a place to quietly meet up with a friend, get some remote work done, or escape the Houston heat for free!

Color tinted windows brighten up the gloomiest and rainiest of days. Artsy geometric themes line the walls, ceilings, and furniture. Whatever your reason for visiting, the interior provides an abundant amount of space for it. More importantly than aesthetics, this library goes above and beyond in the resources it provides. It has passport services, computers, printers, study spaces, and books, similar to most libraries. What most libraries don't have though? Video recording studios, podcast rooms, and sound engineering booths. All fully equipped with instruments, all soundproof, and all FREE. OF. CHARGE. I absolutely love seeing this available. It provides people a creative outlet and a chance to feel heard. Other available gadgets include 3D printers, Cricut machines, and premium media editing software. C.J. and several other employees are at your service if you ever need a tutorial. According to the American Enterprise Institute, library visits have decreased by roughly 31% since 2000. I wouldn't have been able to tell based on my visit today. I saw plenty of parents, kids, and students lost in their own worlds. Free third spaces (locations other than work and home) have become increasingly rare; turns out that if you build a pretty library that's valuable to all, the community will come. I can't emphasize enough how cool this library is. It's a rare sight of tax dollars being utilized incredibly effectively. This isn't some privileged resource in River Oaks or Memorial Village; it's located in the unassuming suburbs of Westbury just outside of I-610. You'll leave this library impressed one way or the other. See for yourself.

Spacious and filled with many resources for community members, students, and library card holders. I've been to this location many times. During my most recent visit I stopped in to pick up my Summer Reading Color Our World prizes! I stopped by two information desks and eventually they informed me that I needed to go upstairs. Once I made it to that desk, the ladies were helpful. I'll be sure to take a picture of my rewards for the Grown Ups Reading Challenge. I received water bottles, sticky notes/flags/pens, drawstring bag, and pen pouches. Defintely worth stopping by and joining the reading challenge! If I'm in the area this is a library I'd return to.

There's plenty of seating inside. Computers were also available to use for up to four consecutive hours once I obtained a library card and number to sign in. If you need to charge your phones or electronic devices, there are plenty of outlets available. There's first come first serve study rooms for those that do require more concentration. For a person who loves reading books for learning and for pleasure, this place was great. I haven't combed through a physical book in a long time, since we have pdfs and Kindle apps on our iPhones. But, this library was refreshing. They even have manga books translated to English. Here, you can borrow any book from and return it to any fort bend county library in 21 days. That's awesome. In addition, they have study rooms here and computers for kids to play games on. On their website, FBC libraries also have book clubs you can attend or reserve new books that are released to borrow. Not sure how long it takes for anyone to actually get a new book, though. Plus, it's relatively quiet here, so I feel extremely productive when I'm here to do any sort of work. My regret is that I didn't find this spot sooner. They're even open on Saturdays if you need to work on some things. Logistics-wise, this library is actually located within the UH-SL campus. When you enter, the library is on your left side. Just follow the signs for library parking. Since I went during post-Hurricane Beryl, the gate lever was open to the parking lot. However, during normal business hours, you need to take a ticket before entering the lot and validate your parking ticket with the library staff before you leave the library parking lot. Overall, I will be coming back here again when I need some quiet time or work done.

I said impossible and demanded to see the form on file because I KNOW it was filled, DATED and signed PRIOR to the due date. she reluctantly brought it out and to my shock, somebody had changed the date on my cancellation form! it was changed to a random date in their own handwriting AFTER the due date where NO refund was to be given LOL! see how sneaky they are? some thief decided to alter my submission date to after the due date where NO refund was issued. i called them out that's NOT EVEN MY HANDWRITING ON THE DATE SECTION! the form was completely altered and i suddenly recall why they were whispering in the back room when they initially told me computers were down. it seemed kind of sketchy how they behaved and now it all added up. I had to write a letter to the dean and informed i was calling the cops and going to expose this on the local news because somebody stole my refund by altering my cancellation slip. a few letters never even made it to her when I handed it to her office aides. one of them even gave me a fake number to call about following up! finally i found her and handed letter over myself because office was trying to cover up this incident. dean made the same spanish lady called me to apologize and to return my money. that thief must've gotten yelled out pretty bad because she was apologizing like there was no tomorrow LOL! shortly after i received my refund, i had to pay for additional classes for next semester so we all waited at this front office with a narrow hallway. was filled back to back like concentration camps because this other older spanish lady took her sweet time without the slightest care in the world at the counter. literally walked like a sloth on sleeping pills without the slightest regard that she's responsible for the excessively long lines. her name is maria and significantly overweight but dressed like some cocktail waitress at a shady strip club. you're over your prime and dresses like that at a community college? lol talk about classy! I asked her a simple question if there's a receipt for my enrollment and she goes, "IT TAKES TIME! IT DOESN'T POP OUT OF THIN AIR!" the only thing that popped out of thin air was her. no class or culture and gives u attitude when she thinks you're rushing her. all the lines were piling up where it was basically a fire hazard in the building thanks to her! it's just one incident after the other here and utterly shameful! ladies and gentlemen, let me give u a secret. you don't need any college period because jobs TRULY HIRE BASED ON EXPERIENCE ALONE! reality is, jobs would care less where u studied and schooling only looks good on paper. it won't help you get a job unless you have actual work experience in the field! man how i regretted wasting all that money and time. never have i encountered such shady people and corruption here on any campus! i literally threatened to call the cops before they decided to refund the stolen money. all you are met with here are RUDE staff, delusional and overweight MARIA, corruption and a total headache. it's just one incident after the other so stay away!
