Their Cuban Sandwich was DELISH. Meat was juicy and flavorful with a good amount of cheese and mustard to go with it. Their 305 Bowl is also a great pick as it's loaded with their tasty pork, rice, and beans and topped with a couple of their sweet Plantains. A lot of their meals come with a side of their shoestring potato sticks... Gotta say, no one was a fan of these sticks. We had a pretty large group and ended up with so many of these sticks leftover. They just lacked flavor and weren't that enjoyable to eat. They were definitely busy when we were there, but their wait times to get your food were a little ridiculous. We ordered earlier so we got our food in about 20 minutes - not too bad. But some of our group ended up waiting at least an hour to get their meal. So be prepared to wait a bit to get your food. Overall, ignoring their potato sticks, the food here is delicious and a good choice for dinner - you just might have to wait for a while to get your food.

I decided to eat from Proc's Kitchen. The family was very nice and friendly. I ordered a grilled beef ( comes with 2 hotdogs with chili)hotdog plate. The plates come with your choice of two sides. The sides were fries, mac and cheese, fried okra, baked beans and Cole slaw. My two sides were fries and mac and cheese. Expect there to be a little wait time because the food is prepared when you place your order. Every thing came out hot and was fresh. The hot dogs were delicious, the fries seasoned just right and crispy, the mac and cheese was "black people" mac and cheese(as one of my nieces' calls it). It had plenty of sharp cheddar cheese in it, not just melted on top seasoned just right with black pepper and other seasonings. I went back for a second helping of that. Several of my family member ate food from Proc's they all enjoyed their food as well. They are located in Spartanburg, but travel to other places. It was never an inexpensive place, but the food was always amazing - even on the days when the service wasn't stellar. This time there was nothing redeeming. Overall the experience was awful and I'm not sure we will ever go back. We started with the honey butter bread, which is a flatbread, but is usually soft and fluffy and just drizzled with honey. This was thin & crispy and swimming in honey. Not a great start. Our guests both ordered salads and both salads ($18 each) were disappointing. Just plain lettuce with a protein on top & a couple slices of avocado. No mix of greens, nothing but lettuce. My husband got the filet, which had very little flavor, needed seasoning. The included sides were pitiful green beans that didn't seem fresh & a tiny tomato salad. Thankfully he isn't picky, but it was very disappointing. I got the burger with the bacon jam, which I've had before. It was nothing like what I've had before. The burger was tiny and instead of an interesting mix of toppings, it was just tons of bacon jam - nothing to offset or balance it out, like it used to. The meat itself wasn't very flavorful. Now I can fault our guests for ordering salads instead of meals. Their soups and sandwiches always used to be top notch and since we didn't get any of those this time, I really cannot say how those have changed. But with as bad as the burger was, I've lost faith in them. Even the service was lacking. The waitress was pleasant enough, but didn't write anything down and definitely screwed up our order. Once we had our food, she disappeared. On top of all that, there was a group of 8 right behind us that were extremely loud and obnoxious. This certainly isn't the fault of Stone Soup, but it did mean that even the ambiance couldn't redeem the visit. We are a couple that eat out OFTEN. And we are happy to pay for food quality and experience. But when the bill for a party of 4 is $150 and EVERY aspect of the visit disappoints, then we have a problem with the prices.
