Friendly faces and big savings (just skip the fruit!) I've…read morebeen shopping at Meijer for years, and honestly, it's my go-to spot for almost everything. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the vibe--it's just pleasant. The employees here are genuinely friendly; whether it's the greeter at the door or the cashier chatting while scanning my items, everyone seems helpful and nice. It makes the weekly grocery run feel less like a chore. What really keeps me coming back, though, is their store brand selection. If you are sleeping on the "Meijer" or "Frederick's by Meijer" brands, you are missing out! I've swapped out so many big-name products for their versions, and I honestly can't taste the difference. Chips and snacks: Just as crunchy and flavorful as the national brands. Dairy: Their cheese and yogurt selection is massive and way cheaper. Pantry staples: Canned goods, pasta, and baking supplies are a fraction of the cost. My grocery bill has gone down significantly since I made the switch, and the quality is spot on. The one downside: I have to be real about the produce section, specifically the fruit. It's usually pretty hit-or-miss (mostly miss). The berries tend to go bad quickly, and I've had bad luck with apples being mealy. I usually grab my fruit elsewhere. The Verdict: If you just avoid the fruit section, this is easily a 5-star store. Great people, unbeatable prices on their own brands, and a solid shopping experience every time. Highly recommend!

The store itself is great but these poor fishies:( Someone…read morefree them and resolve this issue. Also, are the lights in the tanks being turned off at night? Fish need rest!

I love Marc's - it's like a blend of the old Odd Lots experience of a treasure hunt with Northeast…read moreOhio brands that can be hard to find in Columbus. It's old school - this is not where you go for your fresh handmade quinoa salad and organic tangelos. If your ideal grocery store is Whole Foods, Marc's will seem like, as one non-fan put it, a Soviet immersion experience. But they've always got more seasonal/holiday stuff than the big stores - if you're looking for pumpkin spice everything or the full Griswold Christmas, you'll find it here. You'll also find good prices even on the non-closeout stuff and a surprising selection of international foods.

We stopped in here as we had lunch at a nearby restaurant before doing our grocery shopping,…read morenoticed Marc's, and decided to check it out. First off, the vibe here is very old-school early-1970s local neighborhood store. Its stock is...well...jumbled. It's got lawn items & clothing & dishware & ...automotive??...& whatnot on one side, food on the other, and not very clear sections. I mean, the sections are *marked*, but after finding certain specific items in at least five different & separate sections -- they need some serious organizational help. I normally don't mind scavenger hunts, but not in a store where I'm trying to get what I need and go home. Selection is basic (someone in another review compared it to Aldi's, but it's not as organized as Aldi's), though with a lot of name brands. Everything is pre-packaged; no bulk items (save candy) and limited selection of those. However, to the good, there were surprises: they've got a decent amount of sugar-free, organic, & international items (chorizo!), the produce section was well-stocked & fresh, and they had a lot of local/ohio-made items. The biggest "to the good" was the pricing: it was easily MUCH cheaper than Kroger's. So if you don't mind a bit of disorganization, definitely give this place a try!

The butchers are willing to get those special cuts for you if you understand you pay for what you want. True, This location isn't the snobby Sycamore store, but for the Southiders, it is a good fit. Parking lot is always full towards the store. The gas prices aren't bad. What I love about this store in particular is they always put out mark downs. Not everyone has a huge food budget and with my family of hungry teens, I pinch pennies. Check by the Freezer section in the back for daily bakery mark downs. Love their bagels. They seem to rotate district managers often, and they keeps changing the store lay out around. But..the workers have all been there for years, and they aren't grumpy or nasty to customers. Considering the spectrum of people and personalities that they put up with.I applaud them.

I frequent the East Main and Parsons location, out of those two - this is the best. That doesn't mean it's an award winner. I like the pharmacy and the inside is relatively clean and in order. Service is SLOW and self check out is a joke. Deli is slow but I like the deli food options better at this location. Don't be in a rush when stopping in. People watching is always interesting here.
