Overall I thought everything was decent, but the pastries we tried didn't quite stand out as much as I'd hoped. The Viking cup was enjoyable without being especially memorable and the butterhorns were pleasant but plain. The apricot pastry reminded me of a packaged grocery store pastry, while the fattingman were quite dry and had a texture that wasn't really to my taste, even though I typically enjoy cardamom. My husband was happy to finish those, so people's tastes definitely vary. I appreciate the bakeries history, it's connection to the community and the appeal of its traditional offerings. We were able to have the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and Sunday morning brunch all at different locations on the property and all with distinctly different but cohesive feels.
