Little unassuming place with stark white walls and a few pictures. Not being familiar with the…read morecuisine we asked for a lot of help from the girl at the counter. We ordered the samosas, oxtails and Emma's Platter. The samosas were hot and stuffed with a wonderful chicken curry. The oxtails were tender and very tasty. The sides were beans (upon another Yelper's recommendation) and plantains. Both were excellent choices. Emma's Platter had chicken curry, beef stew, rice, greens, nshima and sweet potatoes. The chicken was delicious, though a bit dry. The beef was very good. We didn't know what the greens were, but, they gave us a kale vibe. The nshima was just a square of farina (cream of wheat). No real flavor but good for sopping up the gravies. The strangest was the sweet potatoes. They were white potatoes in a sweet potato sauce. Mind you it was a tasty sauce but not sure if this was the plan or they ran out of sweet potatoes. There were a few other items they didn't have that night either. Also, the restroom was on the last of tp and paper towels. Maybe this was all because it was Sunday evening. However while we were there many pickup orders were going out the door. The food was definitely worth it and the portions were large. I'm hoping the nearby construction will end and they get more foot traffic. People need to know they are there.
