I have to be honest to say that I was feeling very sceptical when my wife and I contacted Mamann, Sandaluk & Kingwell LLP for the first time to gain some understanding and a legal perspective on a rejection decision made by the IRCC for a study permit application that went under my wife's name. We thought of contacting the firm for legal advice as last straw because we were heartbroken after all the effort we had put into the application and to receive a rejection. We actually wanted to re-apply without giving up and that is when Mr. Mamann & Mr. Rylee advised after looking at the documents we had submitted in the initial time, that we could actually appeal this decision in the immigration courts, since there is a high chance that this decision would be revoked as there was no solid ground for a rejection. They were very transparent and full of integrity. They kept us informed of the whole process and what may or may not happen. They explained every step of the process so clearly in such lament terms that we actually understood what is to be expected at an appeal process. The arguments were well written and Mr. Rylee was very attentive to the case, always following with us for every possible document that could help the case in any given way. The commitment of Mr. Rylee really had results as the judge ordered a settlement without trial. The order was to retract the rejection decision and to review the file using a different visa officer. We had to resubmit all updated documents and at this stage the case was handed over to a student visa expert lawyer Ms. Sandra. Ms. Sandra has been an immense help for us from the start. She had helped us to organise our updated documents in a meaningful manner and helped us articulate the study plan beautifully with all vital details included. She was very keen on getting everything ready before the timelines and advised us heavily on how to submit all the updated documents. Once submitted it took almost 12 weeks for IRCC to provide the decision and all the hard work and patience in waiting paid off when my wife received the PPR for further processing and in another 2 weeks' time she received her passport with the visa stamped. This journey has been long, difficult and financially challenging, but the team made it worth every cent we spent on the case and every second they provided us with undivided attention. After a bad experience with my first immigration consultant (who I wrongly thought was an immigration law firm), I was desperate to identify a competent immigration law firm. I first came to Mamann, Sandaluk & Kingwell in May of 2011 but it wasn't until June of 2012 that I actually hired them to handle my immigration matters. It turned out to be the best decision of my life. I had a very difficult case but the lawyer I dealt with, Asiya Hirji, was phenomenal. She was able to turn it around and secure my permanent residence in a very short period of time, to everyone's surprise. When I finally went back to them a couple of weeks ago to start working on my citizenship application I was saddened to learn that Asiya was no longer with the firm but I chose to hire them anyway. I was now going to work with Joel Sandaluk, one of the partners. During a first meeting that lasted almost an hour and a half, I was shown how simple the citizenship process is, paid my retainer and left. But having been shown how easy it was, after I left, that stayed with me. Within three or four hours, I went back to them and asked if I could cancel the contract and just do it on my own. Much to my surprise, Mini Menon, the incredible assistant I had been dealing with directly for years now, told me that it would not be a problem, even though I had signed a contract. MSK LLP is a fraud law office in toronto, 0 knowledge of immigration and they call themselves as immigration lawyers. I along with my friend visited their office asked for spousal work permit application for my friends wife. Its been more than 8 months we are trying to get a hold on them. We paid them the fees in full for the case handling beforehand as they asked for the payment for filing. Since we paid them for the case, they stopped answering the calls and I am sure they haven't filed it yet as there is no update and no requests for documents too.
