Good food but man, I asked for half rice and half beans innstead of all beans and it was 3.50. For this scoop, I was charged an extra 3.50. I don't think they want me in there. Thanks for the past meals

Authentic Mexican food has many variations! Had to drop a car this morning 8 am, at a body shop on E.46 St. which put us in the vicinity of Momma Lencha's Great time for breakfast! Wanting Huevos Rancheros, which is not on their menu. I Asked Mama Lencha if she could make them. She said that was not a traditional meal in the Mexican state where she is from. She didn't know the recipe; however, her cook was from a different area in Mexico and knows. Her cook came out and described her huevos rancheros. That will work! Two orders please. The huevos rancheros were different from those that I have had in other Mexican restaurants. The uniqueness is in the preparation. The cook explained. First a large skillet with oil is heated. The corn tortillas are placed in the oil, then an egg is cracked and dropped on the frying tortilla. The egg and the tortilla cook at the same time. The end result; a fresh runny yoke, fried egg on a crispy tortilla. Then both eggs and tortillas are covered with a spicy, fresh tomato-based sauce with onion and pepper (ranchero sauce). Cheese on top of that; beans and rice on the side. That is Authentic Mexican ranch-style eggs! Friendly welcoming service. Delicious food! We were leaving the restaurant about 9:30; service trucks were pulling into the parking lot. The restaurant was filling with workers, breaking for a for a traditional mid-morning meal.

The breakfast burritos are delicious! Best ones in town by a mile! Extremely authentic to ones that I've had when I lived south of Houston

I kept going back & forth between 4-5 stars and the reason it was 5 was because of the customer…read moreservice. As the sandwiches are listed on the menu, you're asked (at the register) if you'd like whatever fixings that go with the sandwich. I got the Turkey and Cheese with lettuce & pickles, I added jalapeños & jalapeño sauce. I liked the creamy Italian sauce too. The sandwich was stacked. Plenty of turkey, plenty of lettuce, plenty of pickles and jalapeños. The sauce was there and wasn't an overload, just the right amount. The sandwiches come in small or large & I'm glad I got the small. The combos come with chips and a drink, they have one of my favorite chip brands, Miss Vickie's (Spicy Dill Pickle is an automatic pick for me). I wish I got the name of the dude who took my order. He was super cool, laid back & nice. He asked me if it was my first time in & I said yes (I always ordered pickup) and got to choose between the 3 cookie options they had for free. Their oatmeal raisin cookie doesn't taste like your average, see for yourself. *Side Note: Did Bill & Ruth's specialize in mainly cold sandwiches? The reason why I ask is because I never remembered being offered between wanting my sandwich cold or hot.*

We really enjoy Kenda's! This is such an unassuming place that a person could drive past everyday…read moreand not know what they are missing. Great little middle eastern food spot. It is definitely divey, but oh my gosh-the food is delicious and a great price. Can easily get full off of an $8-9 shawarma or kebab wrap. The plates are about $11-13 and great if you are more of a meats and rice kinda person. I suggest trying different types of kebab. The hummus is really authentic and creamy. It tastes like all the hummus I had in Palestine and Jordan. The family who owns and runs this place are sweet and keep it clean. If you've never had kofta kebab, try that first as a chicken/kofta kebab plate. I really am a huge fan of the folks running this hole in the wall, and the great food is such a treat!

The Reuben i got was fresh and hot. The meat was sliced thin and it was tender. They used Kraft thousand island dressing on it but didn't take away from the sandwich. I just wish I'd sprung for the extra meat. Not sure if $8 for sandwich only is the usual in the area but I dont think it was too much to pay. I dont have anything to compare. Service was fast as I was the only patron ordering and only one other customer was seated eating. I know a reuben is meant for rye but I wanted to change breads . I was informed that I couldn't and decided to order anyway. The place is in a small storefront with a few tables but it seems like it has its regulars. It was clean and pretty quiet besides the TV playing in the background.
