The ambiance was very cozy and had a rustic character with the rough brick walls and string lights. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting high quality delicious Italian food. My only critiques are that the soup was overly salty and that the serving could be larger. For example the tortellini soup only had 2-3 tortellini in it. The same went for my main salmon tortellini dish. It was maybe slightly larger than the size of my fist and had maybe 10 tortellini but still tasted delicious.

The focaccia bread is delicious. The wait for food is agonizingly long. Over 2 hours in total. We received our food and it really wasn't great. The steak was cold and the fries were soggy. The pasta I tried was very acidic and was not what I'd consider "au poivre". There were no green peppercorns in the sauce or anywhere on the plate. The restaurant was very busy so I can attribute some of the wait and inaccuracy to that, but we waited a long time for drinks as well. Was told the taco salad was "just a salad" nothing else, and after I'd left, I found they charged the dinner price (which was higher) and that was probably why I didn't get beans and rice. Taco salad is described as: Served in a shell bowl with lettuce your choice of Beef/Chicken, lettuce, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, tomato, and drizzled in our house sauce.... I was brought a bowl with shredded beef on the bottom (which is fine), basically covered with lettuce to fill the bowl (maybe that's why the word lettuce in the description occurs twice?), one half slice of tomato (not cut up), and a big mass of sour cream. No discernible cheese (maybe a tiny bit mixed with the lettuce), and definitely no guacamole. Just lettuce on top of shredded beef with a large dollop of sour cream and a half slice of tomato. When the server did come again, I asked what happened to the guacamole? She noted (given it had been some time again), that I'd eaten about a third of the dish, and she said "oh, it was included, you may have eaten it." Ok, I'd already been there too long (I had a 3pm appointment), so I just sighed and ate a bit more. I had to go to their lunch table to get a check so I could pay and leave. Maybe it was because I was there when they didn't want customers bothering them, but if so, they should close during that time period as some other restaurants do.

It was covered in a red chili sauce. The chicken was extremely tender and flavorful. The tortilla was just wet dough. My husband ordered the chicken chimichanga. He said it was very good. Chicken is moist and flavorful and the tortilla was delicious and fresh to perfection. His chimichanga came with a generous helping of guacamole and sour cream. Also refried beans and rice. The pricing on the menu is below reasonable. It is extremely inexpensive. You get a large portion of food for a very low price. Food comes out right away. Not sure I'm a fan of that as I like the experience of dining. But for some, it may be a positive. My husband loved the food and the price. I thought the food was average.
