We wanted to try an African restaurant for dinner and the one that we had in mind, was full.
So, we were recommended this place.
It s a big off the beaten path and close to the côté de la Villette center, in a very ethnic and up and coming neighborhood. I love these types of neighborhoods.... very few tourists, plenty of people in traditional clothing.
Since we didn't have any knowledge of African cuisine, we decided to try a bit of everything.
I would say that most of the food was pretty good. But it s pricey for what you get. I would suggest coming here for lunch. The price is more reasonable for what you get.
I would recommend the beef kebab with rice and salad as well as the chicken Thiel. The beef stew didn't have much meat and was just filling with rice and sauce.
It has a nice ambiance and interior decor. They even had a musician playing for the restaurant guests. Now, that s a very nice touch to give the place a nice ambiance.
Walk by the back of the Villette park after dinner for a nice stroll.
So, for a nice break from French cuisine, check this place out. Honestly, it s a bit pricey for what you get. The ambiance is super with the background African music and the live music later. read more
