There is a paved trail and plenty of space to run around and enjoy, with trees around for shade. The larger playground, called the Discovery Playground, has a whole lot of options: slides, swings (tire and standard), climbing structures, monkey bars, dinos to ride on, and a whole lot more! It was highly approved and much enjoyed. There is a small parking lot available too.

Two playgrounds in the park itself, one small but good, the other big and excellent. Plus, two playgrounds at the elementary school next door. The worst experience I've had at a gym. The website is very deceiving saying that you can block…read moretimes out to rent the gym, and they even send a confirmation email for each hour you reserve. When we arrived the gym was in use by an AAU team. The coach of the team and the guy working had no idea what we were talking about when we said we booked the time online through the website. Also, when we went to pay we were not able to pay with a credit card, even though 7 different credit card companies are shown on the website. We eventually had to split court space with the AAU team and received dirty looks from multiple parents because we were on "their time" even though we followed what was supposedly the correct procedure to schedule a time to use the gym. The gym floor was also pretty bad, with gaps between sections of the court, so some areas allowed the ball to bounce well and others took the bounce away from the ball.

I love having the Schiller rec center as an option in lieu of joining a "gym"…read more It's got everything I need: a cardio room with decent treadmills, elliptical machines, and a couple of bikes; a weight room that has recently been restocked with $50,000 worth of new equipment. Lots of circuit training equipment and free weights, and it's big enough that it never really gets crowded whatsoever. Recently I signed up for my first class- a combination of step aerobics, kickboxing, and total body conditioning. Vicki the instructor, is no joke. For $55, I get 3 hours of class per week (1.5 hours Tues and Thurs) for ten weeks. What a great deal. Oh, and it's only $75 to join the rec center for THE WHOLE YEAR. But wait, there's more! Not only does that get you in here, but you can go to ANY rec center in the Columbus parks and rec. So if this place is closed (which it is on Sunday and Monday) you can go check out any of the other centers that may be open. You can visit the parks and rec site to see what each facility has to offer in the way of fitness classes and whatnot. Check it out!
