This location was a short walk from the tube and the surrounding area is beautiful. We only came to the area for our Dishoom reservation, but I would definitely explore more the next time. We were seated right away at a round table and given water and then we ordered house chai for each of us and a pot of their fresh mint tea. We also ordered the okra fries as a starter because everyone recommended them. The chai is delicious and the okra fries were so flavorful! We could have just enjoyed a meal of okra fries and kept ordering them, but we were excited to try more. We ended up getting the house black daal, chilli-butter-bhutta, chicken ruby, gunpowder potatoes, cheese naan, and rice. The food came out hot and fresh and smelled incredible. We had already devoured the okra fries and were excited to take in the other dishes. The chilli-butter-bhutta comes as two small pieces of corn that is seasoned and comes with lime to squirt on it. It's fresh and flavorful and a nice change from the rich and creamy dishes available. The gunpowder potatoes were seasoned well and came with a sauce for dipping. They also had lime and some veggies mixed in with them. While these were tasty, they were our least favorite of the meal and we'd pass on these next time in order to try something new. However, if you're a potato lover you may still want to give them a try. The chicken ruby was rich and flavorful and might have been my favorite of the dishes we tried. I really enjoyed the naan with the sauce and it was such a warm and comforting dish. The house black daal was my husband's favorite and a close second for me. It was also rich and flavorful and the perfect texture. The chicken ruby and house black daal would be must orders on a return trip along with the okra fries. After visiting, I can see why so many people recommend this spot. The restaurant was beautiful, the service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. Even the restrooms were well decorated, clean and welcoming. They definitely won us over during this visit and we'll be looking forward to our next trip.

Prawn Koliwada (£9.70)- This one was definitely on the spicy side but I could still appreciate the nice crispy exterior and flavorful taste. Lamb Samosas (£7.50)- These were not your average samosa quality. You can definitely taste that these were made with quality ingredients and the lamb/onion/spice combo was great. Chicken Berry Britannia (£16.50)- This was my favorite dish of all, as it was bursting with flavor from all of the traditional Indian spices. The dish was cooked using the authentic Kacchi style in the stone pot and had chicken within the basmati rice. They also added some cranberries on top which were a perfect addition, as the sweetness perfectly complemented the tastes of the different spices. Basmati Kheer (£8.50)- This was like an Indian version of creme brûlée, with silky rice pudding, caramelized on the top layer, cooked with vanilla-infused coconut milk, cardamom, and cashews. This delicious dessert was finished with some blueberry compote on top. Mango and Fennel Lassi (£5.90)- Simply the best mango lassi I've ever had. The mango yogurt flavor was fresh and just the right thickness. The fennel seeds on top added a unique slight aroma/flavor to the drink. The restaurant environment has a really nice vibe that is fitting for any type of setting from a casual lunch to a nicer dinner. It's decorated in a way to give an authentic Indian vibe and also be modern and elegant. Most other Dishoom locations can be hard to get a reservation at, but this one isn't too tough to get, probably because it's the newest location and Canary Wharf is a bit away from Central London. As a result, there were still some empty tables. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. The service speed is quick. Overall, I was very impressed by Dishoom and it might be the best Indian restaurant I've ever been to (granted, I don't go to many of them but still). Whether you are a fan of Indian food or at least just willing to give it a shot, I highly recommend that you make a visit!
