I have seen another neurologist but she wasn't very supportive and bedside manner weren't so good. Dr. Schoenberg was a breath of fresh air. I finally feel like I am on the right road to living a better life then I had before. Dr. Schoenberg said she wants to see a smile my face again and she is always in my corner. I'm always a crying mess when I call or go to the office. Hannah and Evie are so kind, helpful, attentive, and compassionate as well. They make you feel like a real person with feelings and not just a patient with money. She also was chair of neurology/epilepsy at what used to be LIJ which is now Northwell. She knows her stuff and will not let you down. She even hugged me after our visit and told me she is there for me always. She is an absolute angel. I am so happy I found her AND her office. If you need a neurologist she is the best. Trust me I work in the medical field and have worked with many doctors of all personalities. Just by how the staff acts I can tell they are treated well which is also important.

Dr. Iones followed up to make sure that I was seeing a doctor for an issue that appeared on the mri. The wait time in this office is long. Very long. Very very long. In fact, there are occasions, when I check-in, and I'm told to go to the mall, go to movies, go have lunch, etc. The longest I waited for my appointment is close to five hours. The quickest I have ever been seen in three hours. Just know, if you plan an appointment, it's best to have a backup plan to kill time.

If they could at least give accurate estimates, we could plan accordingly, take work calls while waiting, reschedule subsequent appointments, etc. - instead they just always say "you're next". They also do not take phone calls, let alone emails. Very difficult scheduling process. I've had enough of them. I have found a new neurologist and am referring my friends and family there as well.

Since YELP is my go to for everything, I decided to research other offices and see if I could find him an appointment much sooner. Being in the dental industry, it is very important for me to read credentials and reviews from patients. I was very impressed with Dr. Scopelliti's back ground, so with fingers crossed, I made the call. Ladies and gentlemen, I felt like I was reaching out to an old friend. Debbie was so kind and understanding! Having an aging parent can be very challenging, but she was very patient as my dad chimed in his two cents from the background. She was able to get my father an appointment in four days. We chatted for a bit about what it is like to be a patient provider. She told me about the doctor, and the one on one experience he provides. I sent her dad's insurance information, and she was kind enough to reach out within the hour to explain about his patient portion. I was really looking forward to meeting the team, but circumstances came up and I sent my mom. I wanted her to be able to understand what the Dr. was diagnosing, and due to HIPPA regulations, I wanted her to be able to have future discussions if need be. When they came home, Dad gave rave reviews about Dr. S. He treated him for a full hour, had strict Covid guidelines, and dad had a better understanding about what was happening to his body. I am so very thankful for these people. In this time of uncertainty, you think the worst outcome possible. Dad was convinced he had one foot in the grave, and was discussing his burial wishes. I told him only the good die young, and he has plenty of years left! We have a little work to do to get him on the mend, but thanks to Dr. S and his extremely thorough exam....there will be many more visits with my family.
