I can't say enough good things about this daycare! They are so helpful and knowledgeable and so sweet to my dog! My Sammy was very shy and they got him acclimated and used to the other dogs and he's so excited now whenever we pull up. He starts whining excitedly when he realizes where we are and can't wait to get inside! Leslie and Miles are caring and patient and really made a difference in his social life! I encouraged my neighbor to try them out for her yorkie and she now brings him twice a week to play in their small dog group! 5 stars for this daycare! read more

I'm a SUPER HUGE fan of Canine Connection! I've been bringing my dogs here for doggie-day care for the last 8+ years. The owner / manager, Leslie, is super professional and knows what she is doing. She knows how to handle all types of personalities in dogs. Most impressive, she somehow amazingly remembers each dog by name (even after not seeing you for a few....) and remembers the history of each dog. Now THAT is customer service! The dogs are able to romp around four different segregated pens (according to size) and they get to play all day in the open air and sun in Malibu. There are tons of shady area / umbrellas and water features for the dogs! Check it out! If you are a regular here, it's best to ask about the value-pack of 10 visits. I love this place because my dogs SERIOUSLY love this place. They are obsessed....read on my friend..... When we pull up in the car, they both start making the most hilarious squeaking and yelping noises and cannot wait for me to open the car doors so that they can go tearing into this fabulous doggy daycare up in sunny Malibu. I think they'd throw me under a bus if it meant they got a day at this place. This doggy daycare holds 4 different play yards for so that they can group dogs of similar personality type and energy level so that all the dogs get to party. It's also 100% outdoors and the owners bring in beach sand to fill each play yard so it's like a day at the beach for your doggies. They even have a webcam so you can watch while you are at work or wherever! The owners are both two SUPER sweet and funny former vet techs from the Malibu Animal Hospital and the location is the BEST. When you come pick up your dogs they will give you a behavior report about what kind of day your dog had. It's awesome because if your dog was 'off' or not feeling okay, these owners jump right in and will say that you dog was down or crabby or whatever, instead of ONLY telling you that everything was fab, perfect, blah blah...etc. It's on PCH right across from the entrance to Malibu's surfrider beach so I can put my dogs in daycare and let them party while I go have my own fun at the beach. Best of all it's walking distance to not only the beach but to all of Cross Creek's shopping and there is a vet office right in front of Canine Connection in case your dog had any kind of emergency or needs a vaccine, etc. It's bit pricey so I usually end up doing the half day which is 5 hours and that's quite long enough for my crazy animals. I highly recommend this place to anyone who has a socialized dog! read more

This is the place to take your pooch when he needs a little away time with some friends. We have been taking our dog here for years and have the utmost trust in Leslie and the rest of the staff. They are on top of everything. They know all the dogs and all their unique personalities and are great at anticipating how they will be with each other. They have separate spots to keep like sized dogs together. It is so good for dogs to get this type of interaction with each other. Our guy always comes home exhausted with nary the thought of digging up the yard. We even get occasional pictures texted to us when he has done something particularly cute or dumb. We wouldn't consider keeping our pooch any where else - he absolutely loves it here. read more

What would Eli and I do without Malibu Canine Connection? My dog Eli spends about 2 hours every morning in the company of Miss Leslie (the owner) or Miss Vicki (who is there on Wednesdays and Saturdays). And it is a real mutual admiration society. Eli loves both of them and both Leslie and Vicki are clearly loving and engaged with him...as they are with all the dogs in their care. What a blessing Canine Connection is. It allows me to drop off Eli after our walk, take an exercise class, and run to the grocery store afterwards, knowing that he is safe and happy playing under Canine Connection's supervision. The thing I like best is how whenever I pick Eli up, either Leslie or Vicki will give me a brief account of his antics that day. And my very favorite part is on the days when I get a video, because they've seen Eli and the other dogs doing something soooooooo cute, it had to be recorded and shared. This is a place that loves my dog as much as I do. You can't ask for more. read more

They are incredible! The two women who run this are sweet and take care of your pup as if it was their own. They always remember my dog's name, even though she is not there all the time. My dog loves it here and always comes home tired from all of the playing. It is a great option to have your dog socialize while you work. I can't say enough good things. read more
