Sainsbury's at Castle Marina continues to be a busy supermarket almost in spite of itself, mainly…read moredue its advantageous location. Parking is free, but space is tight and it always astonishes me that there aren't more accidents. Sainsbury's reputation for being pricier than the other main supermarket chains is entirely justified as far as I am concerned a weekly shop here always costs me more than it does when I visit Tesco or Asda. Unfortunately, the location is very convenient for me (see above!) The store layout is good and things are rarely moved around, which is a definite plus. The token non-food sections (clothes, toys, books, stationery, audiovisual etc.) are not particularly impressive and personally I'd rather see the space given over to a wider selection of food. Sainsburys. Reassuringly predictable.

The choice and quality of groceries is always good. I like the way I need to walk along the canal tow path to access the store from the city centre. I don't find it to be significantly more expensive than Tesco or Asda. If there's any difference on the price of a weeks shop at all it's only coppers.

The owner and all the staff in there are really nice and friendly and will help you if you can't find something or can't reach something. All the prices are reasonable although choice is limited mainly to the more expensive lines but prices aren't inflated beyond RRP. You can also get your Electric or Gas topped up here as well as mobile topup and they sell cigarettes and newspapers too. There are always lots of good offers on and once a month we usually get a leaflet through the door with BOGOF offers a-plenty. Only down point to this shop is that there are always crowds of unruly teens hanging about outside so If I am going to go there I try to go in school time (Although sometimes that doesn't make difference)

The staff in Farm street are lovely. They are all very polite, pleasant and chatty. It does get quite busy in there at times and as it is only small, there is no space to queue but the staff are very competent and soon get through the queue. The shelves are always well stocked and if you can't find what you want you can always ask. Of course there isn't much choice on offer but the selling point is like I said the convenience. They do have a good reduced section though and you can usually get reduced priced bread and salads as well as meats and fish. Sainsburys local do still have some of the offers on from the big stores so it is always worth a look if you have one near you.
