The worst doctor office experience ever. Robin in the front office never did the insurance work and I had to full full-boat just to be done with it. Dr. Maleki was ok, a bit rushed and practice was money-driven, not patient-centric. Stay away. read more

I spent several years going to various dermatologists regarding a small patch of rough skin in front of my ear. Each time they would 'freeze' the area and send me on my way. The patch would return within a few months. Dr. Maleki did a biopsy and advised it was basal cell carcinoma. He started a Mohs procedure which ended up lasting 6 hours because he couldn't remove it all. It was present in the ear canal and Dr. Maleki referred me to UCLA for a much more invasive procedure. What stands out about Dr. Maleki is not only his patience and care (carefully documenting and photographing each step of the Mohs procedure for the UCLA surgeons to understand), but his 'old school country doctor' approach to everything. He advised I would need daily bandage changes while awaiting the UCLA procedure. And he came in on a Sunday morning, and opened up the office to personally change the bandage for me. The two star is for my precious time giving this Doctor the pleasure to have less than a minute of visiting time,,, him only to remind me that as you get old your skin develops things,,, DAAAAA,,,,, he didn't even look at my issues and asked to make follow up appointments !!! for what ? for another bill to my insurance ??! Honestly if there was a skin contest between me an Doc,, I guarantee that I would come out as Mr Skin of Universe,,, he was not well groomed, tired, with wrinkled robe as I was about to ask him to let me take it home for laundry and ironing and drop it off,,, I was also about to ask Doc if he wouldn't mind accepting my offer to give him a facial massage in his office while I was there,,, he looked really worn and hackneyed Here's the kicker, I received a $24 bucks co-pay and just received a follow up call from his assistant wether my address was correct, because they hadn't received a payment,,,, I told her to have Doctor to write it off before I claim to my insurance an objection for no services rendered Not a happy man with this tardy doctor read more

I was very excited to see Dr. Maleki after some reviews I had read to him online, however I left with very bad experience. When Dr. Maleki came in, 45 SECONDS (yes.. SECONDS) later he gave me a prescription for a tropical cream. I had to even tell him "you didn't even look at my face." He responded, "I see it from here. Heres your prescription." Well I thought that was bad until... I get my co-pay $35. I called the office to let them know that I felt he hadn't deserved my hard working $35. They didn't answer. Three months later, I get a phone call from a receptionist. She told me about my outstanding co-pay. I told her I didn't feel like the Doctor should get it but I would pay anyways. Her response? Laughing "that's impossible. you're lying." I was floored. She assumed I was lying so I wouldn't pay the bill, even though I had told her I would. To which she refused to give me her name nor let me talk to someone else. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I've never been insulted that much by a doctors office in my life. NEVER AGAIN. The two stars are for Dr Malaki who has always been kind and helpful with biopsies and exams. His nurses are also very sweet. I wish I could give more stars but I feel my other skin care concerns are overlooked and downplayed. I also got tired of the endless waits to be seen and his very rude receptionist. I have called and requested appointments, results and the like and I'm always met with curt answers and the phone being slammed down afterwards. After 7 years I'm not sorry to say I'm moving on. I have put off my regular derm exams too long because I didn't want to deal with this place and the front desk. Talk to your friends and family for a referral instead. A doctor is only as good as the rest of his team in a patients eyes. read more

Dr. Maleki is very experienced, skillful and kind. His staff is welcoming and competent.

I am simply dumfounded at the amout of rudeness from this doctors receptionist. I called to ask for a simple fax number and when i asked for her name, she snapped. " why does my name matter?" 'ummm because its a confidential fax that id like to address to you. then she hung up. I call again, this time i ask for an office manager. she answers and states shes unavailable and she can take a message. I give her my information and she proceeds to ask "in reagards to what?" I tell her in regards to office conduct. she has the nerve to tell me "GIVE UP! Im not giving her your message." hangs up... WHAT IN THE WORLD?? are you kidding me right now, this a practicing physician and his office acts like that.. Im seriously baffled. and I wish I could get a hold of the doctor directly to tell him how his office is being conducted. THIS IS CRAZY! read more

Dr. Maleki and Robin have been the utmost kind to me. I enjoy talking to Robin when I arrive for my appointment and while waiting for the doctor is is just a matter of minutes. Robin has never been rude nor any of Dr. Maleki's staff as mentioned in other reviews. For some people it is difficult to not mirror the individual that is speaking to you, so my guess Robin was approached by rude callers. Dr. Maleki is very patient and willing to explain your diagnosis in laymen terms. I highly recommend them. read more

My experience with Maleki's office has been much, much better than the other reviews. I've brought my kids with various skin conditions, as well my annual skin cancer visits and had a mole removed. The staff has always been very polite and Dr Maleki is patient with me and addresses all of my concerns. His diagnosis has always been correct. He will continue as our family dermatologist. read more

My friend has always spoken so highly of Dr. Maleki and as it turned out, I recently needed an urgent dermatology appointment. Knowing how hard it is to get into a dermatologist, I figured they would offer me an appointment weeks away... but when I called at noon they offered me a same day appointment! When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by a friendly receptionist. As soon as I completed the new-patient paperwork, within two minutes they got me into the exam room where I was greeted by another equally friendly nurse. And before I could even open up a magazine, the doctor walked in and evaluated my concerns. He was friendly, knowledgeable and patient. He made me feel cared for and provided me the treatment I needed. I will definitely go back to Dr. Maleki if I need another dermatology appointment! read more

Dr. Comron is amazing. He does not rush to surgery and it is a pleasure to be one of his patients. Robin at the front desk is competent and friendly. I have no trouble getting through to the office and making an appointment. I don't hesitate to recommend Dr. Comron and I am VERY picky about physicians. read more

Not sure why other reviews aren't great - Dr. Maleki was wonderful for my husband's visit. He took time to explain everything and made my husband feel very cared for. He arrived early and Dr. Maleki actually was able to take him in early which was very convenient. I plan to see him next myself. read more

Dr Maleki is an excellent physician and surgeon! I have gone to him for several cancer removals and I can't even see any scars! His skills as a dermatologist and surgeon are excellent and he teaches at UCLA too. I highly recommend him and his friendly and professional staff. My children and husband have also gone to him too . I have found Dr. Maleki and his office staff to be very helpful. I had a quickly spreading issue on a Saturday. I left a voicemail for Dr. Maleki and he called back within minutes, did an accurate diagnoses via phone, called in a prescription and my issue was under control that day. Had I waited for Monday I could have had irreparable damage. BTW - I called another derm I visit more for cosmetic treatments, and she simply said call on Monday and perhaps there would be an opening. A good doc recognizes the urgency of a situation and acts, even on a weekend. I'm definitely staying with Maleki. read more

I would advise against visiting Dr. Maleki's office, I found him to be rude and uninterested in my skin, after looking at me for about a minute he gave me a prescription for antibiotics, told me not to use lotion on my super dry skin and said to come in three months later. Under a month later I had a severe allergic reaction that was possibly attributed to the antibiotics and my face was peeling because it was so dry. After leaving several messages and talking to his -EXTREMELY rude- secretary I got a message from one of the girls who works at the front desk -not him- telling me that I must not be using the medication correctly, the directions were "rub it on your face" and that my face would stop peeling if I just kept not using any lotion. I asked if I should come I sooner because the only reason I was supposed to wait three months was too see if the antibiotics that I was taken off of by my other doctor-because of the allergic reaction- would work, I was snapped at repeatedly by the lady at the front until she hung up quickly. Nothing ever cleared up and I received a message from his, again very, very rude secretary, telling me that I owed money even though at the time of my last visit I had been told I was squared up. There are many talented, kind and wonderful dermatologists in TO and Dr. Maleki is not one of them. read more

Dr Maleki is awesome. He is a great physician with a great bedside manner. He has been able to help me with a complex medical problem.

My first and last visit w Dr Maleki was very disappointing. After waiting 45/1 hour to be taken to the exam room, i waited another 15 mins( the nurse who was very kind and apologetic) kept telling me he would be right in. I saw him for about 2 mins, during which time he gave me a RX. I tried to ask some question but between his rather heavy accent and his hurry to move on,none of my questions were answered.
