Malaysia Airlines makes me proud to be Malaysian. This top rated airline reflects the best of Malaysian warmth and hospitality and consistently gets top marks for cabin staff and service from the international aviation press
My sister and I flew home with Malaysia Airlines to visit our parents. We got a good rate online as there's usually a discount near the Eid festival at the end of Ramadan for Malaysian Muslims to get home and celebrate with their families. That's a good tip for cheaper fares
The Malaysia Airlines website is easy to navigate and there's an online check in facility available
The Alitalia staff provided the ground services at Heathrow and were excellent.
Malaysia Airlines flies the Boeing 747-400 on its London routes and hasn't got any orders for replacement aircraft as far as I know. The B747-400 is comfortable in economy and there seemed to be a little more legroom unless I've shruck since last flying!
The staff were there to greet all the passengers as they boarded and there was a genuine warmth to the welcome. There were complementary newspapers at the door of the aircraft.
This warmth and hospitality comtinued throughout the flight and they were always helpful and accommodating to all passenger needs.
There was a video on demand entertainment system with lots of new movies, old favourites, TV shows and games available. Sis and I were able to catch up with some recent blockbusters we had missed in the cinema.
We were given 3 meals on our 12 hour flight. There's always a Malaysian option and a European option for food. Sis and I were glad to tuck into some Malaysian fare. There was a light snack served prior to landing.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport was also amazing after the horror of Heathrow Terminal 3. Bright, high ceilings, lots of shops, lots of space. Friendly immigration staff - yes, really!
Our domestic flight from Kuala Lumpur to Penang on a B737 was equally pleasant.
Well done, Malaysia Airlines! read more
