I am 24 hours post-lip blush and here was my experience:…read more I got to Michelle's studio where I was warmly welcomed, had to fill out some standard paperwork prior to starting. We then went into the room where Michelle patiently showed me all the colors available, swatching each color on my skin. She then custom-made a pigment according to what I wanted! Michelle then drew out the shape of my lips, and I asked for her to go a little outside my lips as I desired a more fuller but still natural look. After approving the drawing, we got started! I was numbed for the procedure with a cream, which got reapplied a few times when it wore off. To be honest. it was not pain-free, think, tattoo-level pain, That being said, it was obviously bearable. Several hours after the procedure, I went right to work! BEFORE: I was unhappy with the uneven tone on my top and bottom lip, they were very gray and lacked pigment. I really wanted some color in my lips, but something that looked natural and pretty. I also didn't want any down time as I'm very busy. Several hours afterwards: My lips were tingly and pretty swollen, but I was not in pain. I could still drink (out of a straw) and eat in small bites. The color was very pretty but hadn't settled in yet. 1 Day AFTER: My lips feel a little tight and dry, but not painful. Michelle gave me two ointments for them which make them feel great! Today the color looks more true to the pigment we concocted and looks like it's truly settling in. I'm very happy with the shape of my lips and color! All in all, I am super happy with the results. I loved them as soon as she was done, but I love them even more a day later! I can't wait to see how they turn out as time goes on, as I understand it, the color fades as it's meant to be a "blush." Lastly, Michelle was an absolute doll, so nice and patient and warm! I recommend this procedure 100%!

Growing up I always had very sparse and light colored brows that required me to be self conscious and spend a lot of time in front of the mirror in the morning drawing in my brows with different types of brow products. Fast forward to today I have a baby and not a lot of time in the morning - I want to be able to wash my face and start the day and not waste any time on makeup! First I went in for a free consultation with Michelle. Her studio is located in Tenafly and has lots of free 2-3 hour parking on the street. Upon walking in the studio is beautiful - clean, luxurious and professional looking! I love the white and light gray color scheme she picked. I went into the room where she does the magic and laid down on the table where she mapped me and gave me an idea of how the final brow would look. After I was satisfied with the results I decided to book an appointment with her the following week. I showed up early and she was already in the studio setting up everything. I filled out some paper work and we got to business! The entire process took a few hours but was well worth it! She made sure to listen to my concerns and needs, never once rushed the session and was so easy to converse with! She started by mapping first, making sure the shape is perfect using rulers and pictures. Then she started numbing my skin. After 20 minutes she made the first pass. Then she applied numbing gel (which felt minty and refreshing) and started adding the pigment and more strokes to the brows. She even offered for me to choose what music I wanted to listen to (bonus!) I was beyond excited to do the final reveal which is where she cleans up the brows and wipes away any pigment and you get to see your new gorgeous brows!
