Before my appointment, I messaged the salon owner and explained that I'm very nervous about getting haircuts because I've had a bad experience in the past. She reassured me that I would be in good hands with Cassandra. I also personally explained my concerns to Cassandra when I arrived. Unfortunately, the haircut I received was the worst haircut I've ever had. When I left, my hair was noticeably uneven all around. I was extremely upset because I had specifically communicated how anxious I was about my hair and trusted the salon to take care of me. During the appointment, Cassandra also suggested using a hot tool to place curls at the bottom of my hair so they would hold. I did not ask for this additional service, yet I was charged over $120 for the haircut and blow-dry. After I contacted the salon owner to explain that my haircut was completely uneven, I was offered the option of returning that same day so Cassandra could fix it. After having an experience like this, I was not comfortable going back to the same stylist or salon to have the haircut corrected. I declined and asked about receiving a refund. What disappointed me even more was how the situation was handled afterward. I was only offered a refund for the haircut and not the blow-dry service. As a stay-at-home mom with two little ones, I don't have an income of my own and rarely get the opportunity to take time away for myself. Spending over $120 on a haircut and blow-dry was already a significant expense for me. I then had to arrange childcare, spend additional money, and find another hairstylist to correct the haircut. This wasn't simply a haircut I didn't personally like. My hair was left visibly uneven, and I had to spend even more time and money having another professional fix it. I'm extremely disappointed not only with the haircut itself, but with how the salon owner handled my concerns afterward. I expected empathy and accountability, especially after I had made my anxiety about haircuts clear before my appointment. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not recommend Granada Hair and Makeup to anyone looking for a haircut.

The staff struggled to communicate clearly in English, and there was a lack of clear communication about the service. Customers should be able to understand what is being done and communicate their preferences without feeling frustrated or uncomfortable. Combined with the poor attitudes and lack of professionalism, this made the entire appointment even worse. What disappointed me most was that the poor service was not limited to just one employee. The overall attitude and customer service throughout the salon were disappointing. Everyone should understand that being in the beauty industry means working with customers and treating them respectfully. Simply providing a service is not enough when the customer experience is this unpleasant. Overall, I would not recommend this salon to anyone looking for quality service, professionalism, or a welcoming environment. The staff need to seriously improve their customer service, communication, and attitudes toward clients. Paying for a salon appointment should not mean having to deal with disrespectful behavior and disappointing service. Based on my experience, I would not return, and I hope management takes these concerns seriously because customers deserve much better than this.

Talin is exceptional. I'd never had my makeup done professionally before, and I'm so happy to have stumbled upon Talin's website. I flew into Los Angeles from Hawai'i for a family reunion photo shoot this past weekend, and Talin was able to book me last minute. She was so professional from the moment I contacted her. She own's her own tiny studio space, which made it so much more intimate, comfortable, and relaxing... I loved it! Because she's not affiliated with a salon, she translates that savings into one of the most reasonably priced services for her experience, quality, and results on the market!
