When someone I'm not familiar with does my makeup I'm usually pretty uncomfortable because I don't know how their work will turn out. The moment I sat down in Lauren's chair she welcomed me and made me feel very comfortable! That was a huge plus for me. I let her know that I have sensitive skin, so I'm always cautious with makeup. She tended to my needs. She asked me questions about what I normally wear for foundation since I have sensitive skin she explained the products that she would use on my face and told me that if my makeup starts to feel itchy let her know, but my makeup never itched. She's so talented! The look that she did on my face she came with on the spot, like five minutes before she started my face. She was able to bring the vision she saw to life on my face through her great makeup. Throughout the time Lauren was doing my makeup we were able to converse and get to know a little more about one another. She was able to hold a conversation while creating awesome work. I'm glad that I was able to not only meet Lauren, but allow this talented young woman to create such a beautiful look on my face for the fashion show. Also, I received SO MANY wonderful compliments on my makeup that night. I was so satisfied with Lauren's work that I reached out to her last week for her to do my makeup for my photoshoot. I had no specific look in mind, as far as makeup for my photoshoot, but Lauren was able to come up with a look that I was so happy with! I enjoy working with her because she always includes the client. She asked me how did I want my makeup, what look am I going for and also showed me options to better get an idea. I appreciate that because I've worked with makeup artists before and I can tell them/ show them how I would like for my makeup to be, and when I see the finished look I am dissatisfied. Lauren listens, she takes instructions and does what you want. If she sees something that may suit you better she will not tell you that what you want doesn't look right, but give a reason and an example for what might work better for you in a polite manner. Lauren's work is consistent and great!! She's done my makeup twice so far and both times I was so proud of her work. She's seriously a professional. Thank you Lauren! I look forward to continue working with you. I am very well pleased with the quality of your work Take a look at the photos I posted from her great work. Kind Regards, Chantè

When I am up here, I always go to Bongga for my hair / makeup / special event needs. She did my hair and makeup for two recent weddings and I have her booked again for for when I visit in a few weeks for my grandma's 80th birthday party. When I am in the area (usually 3-4 times a year), I will always get a trim or a cut by Bongga. This past weekend, she gave me a fresh cut - kept my length (as I requested), but trimmed my dry ends and added layers in all of the perfect places to frame my face and give my hair some more movement and volume. I do not color my hair, but I have recommended her to family members who do color their hair and they have all been very happy with it. I am considering adding some color to my hair soon and she will be the first person I will go to with my coloring requests. I have also recommended her for hair and makeup to some of my friends for their special event needs. She is GREAT for weddings and bridal showers because she can create an amazing fresh and natural look. She works magic in bringing out a woman's natural beauty. Besides doing some great hair and makeup work, Bongga is hilarious and caring. You can always expect to be laughing away as she is working her magic on you. Well in 2015 I decided to color my hair and I found Krystina and I haven't turned back since. Krystina's been my hair artist since then. I trust her with my hair. It's hard for me to trust someone with my hair as it's thick, slightly wavy and can poof out if you cut it the wrong way. I also only boxed colored my hair when I was younger. So when I finally wanted to color my hair again (virgin hair no color) I wanted to make sure I did it in the safest way and Krystina does that. Yes, it's not a quick process and yes it's not a cheap process, but spend a bit more to not damage your tresses. Then really it's up to you after that point to make sure you treat your hair the right way to maintain that hair color to make it last. You can read my previous reviews to explain how to take care of your hair and what I've learned from Krystina over the years (DM me if you need some advice). Yes, she makes sure you know how to take care of your hair so you don't have to see her again or provide you guidance on when to come back again to maintain color and hair length. So I only see Krystina once a year or when I know it's about ready for a new color (that usually is around a year when I get the itch). Then I sit in the chair from 5-9 hours...yeah I go in with a backpack of snacks and tablet/phone to sit for long periods of time. I basically go in with no expectations as I let Krystina do what she wants as I'm always game for whatever she wants to try out on my head as I know she'll make magic. And I always leave quite giddy and happy. This last session we had was magical. I felt like a Lisa Frank artwork. The neons were fab. I've had other friends reach out to me about my hair and I'm always happy to recommend Krystina! I'm a little over 6 months now since my last color and my head is still fabulously colored but faded of course in a rainbow of fall-like colors. I don't know when I'll get the itch again (probably 6 more months) but I know when I do, I'll reach out to Krystina and schedule. Krystina recently moved to Texas but flies back to do hair at her Pleasant Hill location. So make sure to schedule far in advance! I highly recommend Krystina for your coloring needs!
